Insight from Observation
There comes a time when one realizes they have powers they can attribute entirely to their introversion. These include being able to listen to someone without interrupting, making logical connections after thoughtful consideration, gaining insight by observing nuances in behavior and expression, and handling complex issues wisely, carefully and effectively.
Notwithstanding this fact, quiet people can be and are often overlooked or ignored. This can get downright annoying with time. The ideal personality is gregarious and comfortable in the spotlight. Focus has shifted from character to personality. Quiet strength, dignity, and pensive thinking, all elements of what we call character, have taken a back seat to luster and gratuitous expression. Traits like integrity and honor are neglected in favor of fascination and attraction. Verbal skills and self-marketing have become much more significant than being empathic, insightful and an innovative thinker. It is easier to be impressed by or at the very least notice someone who is vocal than by someone who is quiet, someone overbearing than someone modest and humble. We can notice their mistakes, but they are not entirely their fault. The issue is that ideas are often validated based on expression and the loudness of the presenters, not their actual value.
Extroverts tend to act quickly and decisively when it comes to solving a problem. To be fair, this is what is often needed. Unfortunately, when the quick and decisive action does not remedy the situation or makes it go from bad to worse, they will give up. If a problem was that easy to solve, it was never really a problem, was it? If everyone abandoned endeavors when the first try failed, would we have ever gotten anywhere as a society and culture? You learn more from 99% of failed attempts than 1% of successful ones.
Introverts have a unique and truly amazing capacity to solve difficult, complex problems. We can leverage our unique gifts to handle tough dilemmas. More specifically, we are able and inclined to listen attentively, accumulate loads of information, conduct thorough research and achieve clarity on complex issues. Our focus and tenacity allow us to persist until the problem is
