Teenagers Are Lazy

Teens Today’s teenagers are lazy and don’t care about the future. Most teenagers would rather just lay back and relax and not have to do anything. They would rather eat, sleep, rave, and repeat is basically how most teens are. I chose three reasons on why teens are lazy and those reasons are is that they love food, they would rather sleep then do anything else, and when it comes to doing something by there selves they find an easy way out of doing it. The first reason I put is they love food. That makes them lazy because all they want to do is eat food. The more they eat and don’t do anything to work off what they consumed then they start to gain weight. Just because they gain weight doesn’t mean they are lazy it just means that they would rather just eat food and sit on a couch than working out, or just studying for something. Most people should consume about 3-4 meals a day. Sometimes I see kids that eat about 8 meals a day. Those are some reasons on why I think food is a cause of laziness and make them not care about are future. The second reason I have is they would rather sleep then do anything else. I’ve seen a lot of kids turn off their alarm clock when it goes off and fall right back asleep. Most teens on the weekend sleep in usually until about noon. Most teens spend most of their day sleeping rather than going outside or just doing stuff with their day. They don’t even think about what’s happening in the world or anything. A lot of people I know instead of going to lifting in the morning they make up an excuse not to go. Those are some details on why I think most kids would rather sleep then anything else. My third and final reason on why I think teenagers are lazy and don’t care about the future is, when it comes to doing something by themselves they find an easier way out. What I mean is that most teenagers when it comes to taking out the trash, doing homework, studying, etc. They procrastinate a

Many agree that our generation could quite possibly be the dumbest in American history. This is believed to be the most serious problem in society at the moment because the current youth of America are essentially hitting rock bottom, and they show no sign of improvement rather they display signals of ignorance and soon the ignorant teens will become ignorant adults. I predict a collapse in American society due to the soon to be careless adults. American teens today are often seen as lazy, and most don’t spend near enough time outside. Teens today lack the basic skills of their fathers such as identifying basic plants, the ability to handle tools or build anything at all. American teens could not possibly become…

What if “Lazy American” had more meaning than what we thought? What if instead of it just being an insult it was the truth? Over recent years researchers have conducted tests on young Americans to compare to that of other countries. Unfortunately, for the common American, these test results were not so favorable. These tests proved just how “lazy” America is in regards to sleep habits, study habits, technology use and other stipulations that correlate to their grades. The results proved American students being far more lazy and less motivated to complete assignments on time and with utmost effort.…

The clock hits 7:30 and I just get home and haven’t been home all day. Then I realize that I have to do English homework, social studies, science and math. This has happened to me many times. The second reason we shouldn’t have homework is it is a major health issue for most kids. First off, you get less sleep because some teens have to stay up all night because they get home late and still have to do a lot of homework. Students in middle school need a lot of sleep because they have to wake up at 6:00. People say that kids from ages 10-18 need at least 8-9 hours of sleep and some teens only get 6-7 because there up so late doing homework. The second reason homework is a health issue is it gives kids a lot of stress because they have to do homework and don’t want to forget anything. This gives students more stress because they already have stress from tests, lessons and exams. The last reason why homework is a health issue is kids…

There are multiple causes of obesity in children, some are things they can’t help; such as genetics, or their families having a low income. Others, are lifestyle habits that, with a little time and effort, can be changed. Genetic characteristics are passed from parent to child, and many of them can lead to weight gain. Maybe the child was born with diabetes, or perhaps a slow metabolism. Obesity is more common to run in family trees, than it is to only affect one person in their immediate family. Another cause of obesity is screen time. Sedentary behaviors in front of the television or computer, such as playing video games, watching movies or DVDs, or just surfing the net, are not helping the child burn enough calories. (Larson, June 2010) Also, low income families are a major cause of obesity. Not enough money can set up a barrier to the child’s food options. A proper diet is extremely important in a growing child, and not having fresh fruit and vegetable around the house can greatly affect a growing child.…

Most teens are included in a sport or activity out of school they participate in. Trying to juggle school work, activities, and trying to spend time with your family does not exactly work. It is very hard to participate in any out of school activity, be able to keep your grades high and always have your homework. Teens should get at least eight full hours of sleep. That is not the case for teens who are included in a variety of activities anywhere from sports to church activities.…

Not being able to afford healthy foods is a factor that influences obesity. Across American there are families that do not make enough money to afford the best and healthy foods. Some of these families will eat what they can if it means eating fast foods continually because it’s cheap and they can make there dollar stretch. For our young children I believe the number one factor is TV and gaming systems. Today’s youth are so involved with the TV and game consoles they are not being active as the youth…

Although there are some inherited and hormonal reasons of childhood obesity, most of the time it’s caused by kids over eating and not exercising enough. In addition to consuming nutrient rich food and exercising regularly, nutritionists have said that it is important for children to have an adequate amount of time to eat their meals. This is because it takes individuals, to only begin feeling full, about twenty minutes after they begin eating. Thus with a diminutive period of time to eat, it is likely that people will over eat because their bodies don’t recognize they are finish eating within the eating period. Other causes for childhood obesity could be the food they eat when they are in school. In contrast to all of that, majority of what children eat is consumed at other places, not just at school. School meals cannot be to blame for the rapid growth of the students who consume the food. The lack of exercise is also a contributing factor to the weight gain of the children. Some daily excuses that are given are; that children find exercise to be “work” and “too tiring”, it’s not enforced, and they don’t have time to eat healthy or exercise and the oldest excuse in the book: their just too lazy. Moreover childhood obesity as many causes and the likelihood of these causes to be one thing is dubious. With all of the unhealthy aspects of the school lunches served every day to the future generation of this country, it is said that many of the overweight children will not only be overweight but will also have health problems as adults.…

Many Americans aren't very physically active. A common reason for this is that many people spend hours watching TV, on computers either doing work, schoolwork, and leisure activities. I found that people should limit their activity to no more than 2 hours a day because more than the 2 hours can cause overweight and obesity. People rely on cars, some have fewer physical demands at home or at work because of the modern technology. Also, a lack of physical education in classes at schools. People should be active by exercising to prevent overweight and obesity because it can burn the calories that they take in from the food they eat and the drinks they drink. Most people who are inactive may increase their health. An example of what people might get from being inactive is coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, colon cancer, and other health problems. I believe that our environment does not support healthy lifestyle habits like we should. It only encourages obesity. Some other reasons that can cause obesity and overweight children is Also, genetics and social factors (socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, media and marketing, and the physical environment) can influence the energy consumption and expenditure. Which, your genes may affect the amount of fat you store in your body and where on your body you carry the extra fat. Some children adopt their habits from their parents and a child who has an overweight parent who eats high…

One factor that causes obesity in young children is bad eating habits. Bad eating habits can be caused by eating fast food constantly, or parents, peer pressure their child to finish their meal completely when the child is full. This proves that many children across the U.S. binge…
