ways to hear of distant loved ones. An individual could only wait. One of the
most paramount tales of complete faithfulness is established upon
Penelope, who is the Queen of Sicily. She uses her extreme intelligence,
her diligent patience, and ongoing devotion to keep herself thoroughly
accountable as she waits on her husband.
In his epic masterpiece, The Odyssey, Homer describes Penelope’s
intelligence as an equal to her husband, Odysseus, who is well known for

Odysseus and his family. However, she still had temptations. Because of
the long duration of time, Penelope would have been allowed to remarry.
Nonetheless, she is famously obstinate to wait for her husband, although
there is little hope Odysseus would ever enter his household again. Clearly,
Penelope’s patience gives her guidance from forsaking Odysseus.
Along with her outstanding patience, Penelope is a devoted wife.
Understanding the law of the land, Penelope knowingly recognizes the
dangers of refusing marriage to one of the suitors. She also perceives the
jeopardy which comes with acting upon marriage. Penelope has a choice. If
she gives in to a suitor, the wasting and chaos will disappear, but her
