1957 nine African American students enrolled in an all white school in Little Rock Arkansas called Central High School.
On the first day of classes they arrived and were getting abused and spat on by the white students, also the governor Orval Faubus called the national guard to block the black students from entering the school so the president Dwight D. Eisenhower sent in the army to escort the students into the school to start there first class on
September 25 this was a key turning point for the black civil rights movement and the integration of all schools in the U.S.
