Assignment 3

Since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of working in a place where I could make a difference in a person’s life. I feel that working in a small office environment will help me accomplish that dream. In a small office, staff always seems to be more personal and understanding of a patient needs or wants; as in a hospital or clinic staff have so many patients to deal with. I am more of a name with a face type of person rather than a face with a chart. When working in a small office setting a person tends to know each patient as soon as they come in. They are able to greet them by first name and make them feel welcomed as soon as they enter the office. I feel that patients who feel comfortable with their doctor’s office and the staff will have an incentive to take better care of themselves. To me this is very important and if I can help make a difference like this by working in a small office then that is what I would like to do. Doctors and staff of a small office may have less patients than a clinic or hospital but their patients get the care and time they need. For me, I would love to know my patients more one on one and let them know that I am there to give them the care they need and deserve. I believe it is strongly important to make patients feel like you care. I feel that by me showing my patients that I care, it will give them an incentive to care more about themselves and their health too. A patient tends not to want to visit doctor’s office when they are sick because they do not feel they are being treated right. Therefore, they put off seeing the doctor until the last minute. Therefore, for me, working in a small office would mean more to me than working in a hospital or clinic. In conclusion, after graduating I would rather see myself working in a small town doctor’s office. I feel that working in a small office would give me more enjoyment in life because I can give each patient the care they deserve and make him

In a small organization, the hiring of new individuals has the potential to have a greater impact on day-to-day interactions in which organizational communication can be observed. More often than not, exactly who does what and for whom, is based arbitrarily on the need of the moment within the organization and one must be flexible when responding to differing demands. The potential for conflict is extremely high and because of the more intimate setting, extremely challenging.…

It is important to promote all person centred core values when helping patients because by focusing on the patient’s needs we are able to increase the quality of care we are providing as patients are working in partnership with us. This builds on the trust between patient and staff so that there is good communication between them. This reduces the likelihood of abuse and missed or delayed treatment as patients feel they can express their needs. As well as this it provides a more positive experience for the patient, increasing the reputation of the hospital and leading to positive feedback from the patient, relatives or visitors. This also creates a more positive working environment for staff, as everything runs more efficiently and good feedback can motivate and boost staff moral. Following this, it is also the law that we must work in this way, according to the Social Care Act 2008 we must create individualised care plan. Therefore, by working along with this and the hospital policy we are safeguarding our jobs.…

There are lots of PRN positions, which is an as needed position. In my other time, I plan to work in home health care with more of a one on one environment. As I mentioned before I believe that it is better to have a one on one relationship with a client. That ensures that there is enough one on one time with your patient. I really enjoy working with the older generation. I believe that they have done their part in making the world a better place, and that their time here on earth is limited. I really like that I can do MY part in a one on one environment ensuring them comfort and peace. Also them knowing that they are not just another patient in a facility. I believe that it is important to make them still know that they are making a difference. The older generation usually can’t do much in terms of working, but the stories about their generation, hard times, and overcoming hard times have proven to make me a better…
