Arguably the greatest tragedy in America`s history. On September 11th 2001 it was a dark day for U.S citizens. With unease in Iraqi-US relations, ultimately was the largest factor leading to the attacks on 9/11. Which most believe that the attacks were completely unavoidable and just a product by terrorist group Al-Qaeda. Others believe that if the US had healthier ties with the Iraqi government, then 9/11 and other attacks wouldn’t have occurred. At one point in time, Al-Qaeda, was the worlds` most powerful terrorist group. Al-Qaeda is a global militant Sunni Islamist organization founded by Osama bin Laden in the late 1980`s.They operate as a network comprising both a multinational, stateless army and an Islamist extremist, wahhabi jihadist group. Among the beliefs assigned to al-Qaeda, members believe that a Christian–Jewish alliance is conspiring to destroy Islam. As Salafist jihadists, they believe that the killing of non-combatants is religiously sanctioned, but they ignore any aspect of religious scripture which might be interpreted as forbidding the murder of non-combatants and internecine fighting.
