Trip Memory
An Unforgettable Vacation

I still remember my first vacation when I live in THATTA. It was on the warm of a summer day in July, 2009. After finishing the spring semester at high school, my cousins and I had two months to rest, relax and go somewhere. A beach trip in the summer was always a good idea for us who lived far away from the sea. Hence, my cousins and I made a plan to go to Hawks bay Beach in Karachi on the Fourth of July. The trip was such an unforgettable vacation for me with many different emotions such as happiness because of saving a person, fear before the dead and interest in the beauty of nature. Sometimes, when I recall, everything seemed to have just happened yesterday.

We were very excited about this trip because this was the first chance for us to go out of THATTA . We prepared and packed up everything about a month before the day of departure. At 8.a.m. on July 4th, we got ready to jump on the car and drive straight to Karachi. Along the street, we stopped twice for breakfast and lunch and we took too more hours because we went to the wrong ways, as well. Therefore, we were at Hawks bay Beach in the evening.

Night fell down completely. This meant I missed the beautiful scene of the setting sun on the beach. The surface of ocean was calm except there were some waves running up and splashing against the shore. The cool wind coverd my body when I walked on a bridge where my cousins were fishing. No one stirred. No one spoke. My cousins thoroughly concentrated and stared at the shade underneath the bridge where our fishing robs were dropped. They still did not recognize me till I made some noise by opening a cooler to see their result. The cooler was entirely empty. It was not surprise to me because I definitely knew how well they could fish. Leaving them behind, I went down out of that place and came to the beach. Suddenly, far from the beach, I heard someone yelled, "Help, help me!" I looked around to

We were all sucked dry from the sun that day with zero energy left, we scavenged what we could and we still ate better than we could have at any local dinner. The day was still long and was only going to get hotter and longer even as the day came to a close. There was more things to do around the land than there was at any theme park. So as we all sat around and waited for something to do you could tell that everyone was thinking the same thing as sweat poured down all of our faces. The cold spring fed creek was the only thing that was going through my mind and I knew that was the only thing going through anyone else’s. We walked down to the creek as there was no other way that you could reach it, and as we got closer and closer you could hear the light eco of the fifteen foot waterfall coming off of the trees. The only thing I was looking for was the spit of the water flowing up through the large oak and misquote tree branches. You knew when everyone saw the water, you could see the sight of the crystal clear water shining off of everyones eyes and you could tell that there was a sudden sign of relief that came upon everyone after the long walk through the large misquote trees avoiding as many thorns and cactuses as they possibly could, being careful as could be you weren't going to miss all of them. And there was no better feeling than soaking your wounds in that…

The trip was quite fun because the mountains we were by were smooth while being very massive in size. The day was sunny at start but sooned became cloudy and grey I was worried that it would rain and we would have to cancel but that wasn’t the case. When we approached the lake it was massive very massive with little waves right behind each other while the smell of the open and the lake were all around me. The lake was beautiful while fish were jumping out into the air and splashed right back into the diamond lake. When I saw this I became so excited and was filled with joy. It was cloudy and breezy but the air around us was warm and soothing like being right by a fire on a breezy day. I quickly setup the equipment and grabbed my fishing rod, acquired the bait and started to fish. While I was fishing my Nina and her husband set up right by the edge of the ramp and me and my sister were set up on the side. The dog was right at the edge and about to fall of the ramp but he just stood there staring into the endless darkness of the lake. As i was enjoying the air I felt a tug on my rod and instantly knew There was a fish at the end, I instantly started to reel in my line a was struggling just a bit, the fish was also struggling and it was determined by who had the most stamina. I reeled in my line and there was a mid to large sized fished on the line and I felt proud that I caught my first fish of the day. After a hour I caught 4 fish and felt proud of myself for actually staying a whole day outside and having fun. We decided to head to the house when it started to rain. When we arrived at the house it was already turning night so we headed in but before we did that my Nina showed me how to gut a fish, even though it was disgusting it was informational. After that the rest of the stay was very relaxing and pleasent and was glad to travel there for half of the…

As she walking to class, something caught her attention, the shore outside. She went outside, they were allowed to go outside without permission. She walked outside and she could feel the breeze going towards her and she could feel the warmness of the sun reflecting on top of her head. She saw how the waves were moving in a steady motion and it splashing on top of the soft sand. She could hear the palm trees moving gently.…

Later that morning, in the sunlit dining hall, breakfast was being severed. My group sat at the table we sat at the night before. As I started to eat my tater-tots , the events from yesterday filled my mind. My group went snorkeling, both day and night, I could still feel the cold water soak my wetsuit. I remembered that Mr. Lacey, our principal, announced that the school would be leaving today because of a storm. I was disappointed because I payed for three days instead of two,but at least I was having fun.…

Returning as a teenager never seemed like a lame family holiday. With all the returning friends I had made in years previous, the activities and fun seemed endless. Tubing became a sport to us. Lounging in the sun never seemed so relaxing – with the waves licking the shores and the breeze coming off the bay. I learned how to wakeboard at Lumina; the staff spent countless years helping me stand up on the wake, and never grew tired of my mistakes. Movies in the TV room, playing cards on the deck, eating junk food in the beautifully preserved cabins. All great memories.…

Have you ever gone on a vacation so great and enjoyable that you will never forget it? It all started in the summer of 2016 when my parents told my sisters and I that we are going to Disney World. They said that we would be going in a van with my cousin Fillip’s family. We were so ecstatic that we could not wait for the day to come. Then, when the day was upon us, I was at basketball practice in Sportsplex and when my mom picked me up, we got home and immediately prepared to leave because Fillip and his family was already there. Once the trunk of the van was packed with all of our belongings, the ten of us got in and left for Florida. Lucky for us, there were eleven seats in the van so it wasn’t very crowded. Fillip and I were the luckiest…

A chilling breath of wind assaulted her deadened cheeks for it was a rough night and the stars had cowardly hid away behind the dull, mute clouds. The predatory moon, bright and full; crept behind the cloudy sky stalking me as prey. Her voiceless shadow stumbled drunkenly as she battled through the hawkish rain to find shelter for the night. Her car had broken down a mile or so back. It had been hours since the sunlight faded to dark; hours since she'd been stranded in this deserted place. She was miles away from her home, she was very frightened. She just stood there, crying; wishing someone could help when, suddenly, a small old lady seemed to appear from no-where. She was extremely short with long, obsidian hair and a narrow, cadaverous face. "Please help me," the young girl begged, her teeth chattering loudly.…

As my mum and I walk out of the salty water onto the soft sand I feel the sun beaming down onto my shoulder making it sizzle like a burn. I quickly walk to my day bed and pull out my towel from my bag. Once I finish drying the water off my body I lay out my towel on my day bed, and begin to put on my sunglasses. As I look up from my sunglasses, I see my mums face in shock staring at the horizon. I rapidly swing my head to see what she was so stunned by. My mouth drops in fear.…

We may have failed our personal mission but that didn’t mean we didn’t enjoy ourselves. It was easily one of the best vacations I have ever been on. In the night’s high tides I look out for boats that are out in the ocean with my oversized flashlight up on the highest point in the lighthouse. “Is anyone out there!?” I yell. I end up finding no response. All that I can hear is the waves crashing onto the rocks. But then for an inexplicable reason, everything feels slower, colder… It’s snowing! I think to myself. I run down the stairs of the lighthouse and What do I see? I see the snow piled on the grass like solid clouds clumped on the green world. I hear the moose, just waking up, and already running around. I drive back home and I see frost stuck on people's houses like sugar stuck on a wooden ladle. Cold, I resumed my trip home. I seem to run into a moose,…

Pictures tell more stories of that trip than I can even remember, pictures of my nanny of whom raised me as her own child, pictures of my cousins and I sitting on our grandmother’s couch eating mango, one of the juiciest mangos I have probably had, telling by the large grin that showed my toothless front teeth and the juices running down my face and unto a big stain taking up half my Cinderella princess dress. My trips from 15 and up are very fresh in my memory, almost as if they happened yesterday. One memory that will last forever is experiencing Kool Runnings water park, I remember we woke up bright an early, before the roaster crows. We had packed all sorts of goodies from the night before, big foot cheese chips, cheese sticks, plantain chips, bun and cheese, we had made corn-beef sandwiches, we even had a pot of rice and foil pan filled with steam fish. We were ready for the journey from Spanish town, Jamaica to Negril, Jamaica, which is equivalent to driving from Miami to Jupiter Island.…
