True Friend
Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
.
A friend should be one in whose understanding and virtue we can equally confide, and whose opinion we can value at once for its justness and its sincerity.

A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often - just to save it from drying out completely.
A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.

One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.

Friendship is first and foremost an ideal, something to aspire to, much like wisdom. It is never fully attainable, at most we are offered brief moments to its truth and we should revel in it when it shows itself. Much like wisdom, the pursuit of it is noble, for instance you don’t break off everything because of one small fight. If that is the case then it would not be a strong relationship. One does not give up when things start to get rough, so the pursuit of an impossible goal, actualizing an ideal, is futile, but we become better people through the chase and that is what…

In our modern world we categorize true friends into a group of individualistic people. They are viewed as someone who will always be there to lean on, someone who will listen to your dilemmas with a deep insight, and in return, give you a response that is free from criticism. Friendship is a very powerful word. As children are growing up, their parents and family give them a taste of what friendship really is all about. Starting at a young age, it is smart for parents to teach children the significance of friendship. A friend should be someone who tells the other individual when they are doing wrong. They should influence them to do good, give them a shoulder to cry on, and be that person to talk to when sad. Friendships change over time as you move from childhood to adulthood, however, friendship exists in the positive relationships a person builds.…

Friendship is the time that we were blasting eighties music while driving around town, all off key at the top of our lungs, but enjoying every second of it. Even a year later, when I hear that same song on the radio, it takes me back to the special times I shared with such special people. Friendship is about being able to just sit around someone’s house, and still being able to have a good time. It is silent conversations, late night talks, finishing each other’s sentences and shared secrets. It is a lifetime filled with shared memories of laughter and love. Friendship is truer and rarer than the deepest of loves because best friends really are…

“True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils. Strive to have friends, for life without friends is like life on a desert island… to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune; to keep him is a blessing.” I believe friendship is a powerful word. It doesn’t just mean being friends with someone; it has more meaning to that. We all choose who we want as friends, we all want certain qualities much like ours, but also qualities that we might want that could complete us and this we look in other people. Everyone is different, we all look for different things, but when you find someone that you love spending time with and that person loves spending time with you than that is friendship. Friends ware off on you, they become apart of you, we may develop certain characteristics from them and they develop something from you. Friends, people you can be absolutely crazy with and then can just sit there in silence with out it being “awkward”. Friends are the ones who still keep you sane while being insane.…
