Hello, Canada.

I said it two years ago
When the flight came from Beijing China, which landed at the airport of Vancouver
I was not along luckily with my sister
The place we arrived in, was a brand new and strange city for us.
I was staring at the snow fluttering in the air with fascinate texture outside in the school library
Sitting around a round table with my Canadian friends
Everything had changed significantly into positive direction..
I was like a little tough rock
Attempting to integrate into the scorching dessert
I recognized clearly that what it would be a wide range of difficulties and obstacles I will encounter
Anyway I was always on my way in the passed two years

I still remember clearly that the first time I went to classes
The students who sitting in the classroom were talking about various things in fluent and excellent English
However, it was still too difficult for me to understand
Looking at the different colors of their faces and skin
The diversity was witnessed perfectly
Furthermore, they looked like seem to be quite amicable and virtuous
I determined to try to stay here and finally could have the same brilliant and colorful ad they do

I still remember clearly that the first time I achieved the highest mark in the science 20 F
Maybe you could not understand how come it was extremely difficult and valuable for an international student
Who knew few English vocabularies
Studied conscientiously and assiduously every singe night under the dazzling lamplight
I was like a seed
Who had strengthen my conviction that to attempt every possible mean to draw nourishment from surrounding
Finally, blooming the most fascinate flowers ever
It became a significant motivation to keep me moving forward

I still remember clearly that the first time I volunteered the Rotary Marathon game
As a guider who was in charged of guiding the athlete running in

Looking out the front window, the ground was covered in powdery white snow, sparkling, like it had glitter in it. I took in the brilliant sight right in front of me, it was, for lack of a better description, magical. Even the road that had not yet been driven on was covered in a perfect blanket of snow, but something else caught my eye. From where I was standing, it looked like nothing more than a blob of color, but against the world of white in front of me, it initiated my curiosity.…

It was a gorgeous day about five years ago. My family and I had left to Sugar mountain to practice skiing for our upcoming trip. We decided to stay for the long weekend of Labor day. The final person turned in their scorecard and saw that I won 1st in every category. I defined drive, chip and putt by being the best at all of those in my category. I was so, so, so happy, they said Santiago Arredondo and that was probably my favorite time someone said my name. I was going through all the things I just did and how crazy that was that on my very first drive, chip and putt that I just flawlessly won. Everyone was amazed and was congratulating me, and my dad was ecstatic.…

In the calm and chilling winter of the end of the year. My friends and I were walking back home from Friday prayer at the Masjid. We walked on down the road until we approached the river bank where it was arctic and barren along the shore. Suddenly, my friend had the idea of crossing the river to getting home faster seeking a new experience of adventure. I already assumed the situation could be a lot worse than that, but we shouldn’t live in fear, I thought. Before I knew it, I was walking on ice.…
