- Personal skills are skills that are beneficial regardless of what job someone is applying for, or what career someone wishes to pursue. These transferrable skills make a candidate attractive to a prospective employer. Some examples of personal skills are patience, hardworking and good interpretable skills. Anyone wishing to work as a store leader at Tesco would need a range of personal skills, some of these include: Strong communication skills to clearly impart the Apple vision to the teams you oversee, candidates need to be flexible with their schedule and work hours will be based on business needs. Furthermore, candidates need to be passionate about retail and committed to treating people in a fair and consistent way.- Each job that a person does requires a set of skills; these are also known as transferrable skills as they can be transferred between jobs. Employability skills are essential for employees to be able to operate effectively in the workplace. The four types of employability skills are suitable qualifications, experience in similar role, knowledge of products/services and experience of specific industry. A candidate applying for the role of a store manager at Tesco would need to have demonstrated leadership ability with at least five years of experience in a customer-facing sales setting. Further skills include: effective communication with customers, carry out multiple tasks, handle money and work as part of a team. Another key employability skill that is welcomed when applying for a job at Tesco is a cross-industry experience. A cover letter is a document that goes with a person’s resume to provide additional information about their skills and experience. Employers use cover letters as a way to screen applicants for available jobs and to determine which candidates they would like to interview. A cover letter typically provides detailed information on why someone is qualified for the job they are applying for. Effective cover letters explain the

Requires good knowledge of the business, the skills to analyse information and to make decisions, and the ability to lead others. For work level 5 people are responsible for the performance of Tesco as a whole. Requires the ability to lead and direct others, and to make major decisions.
