Video Games contribute to youth development
Inventions nowadays involves technologies and one of those is video games. Video games is a popular hobby today, be it a teenager or an elementary student, everyone gets addicted to it.
There are a lot of people who says that playing video games have negative effects and these children most of the time argue with their parents on the time they spend on video games. So, this paper aims to discuss the pros and cons of the said issue. Some examples of the positive effects is it can improve your cognitive skills like your reasoning, memory and perception from playing different types of video games. Also, it can improve your focusing skills, where the gamers attention and focus are much more better than the non-gamers. The third one is it could be an outlet of stress for those students that have problems in school or at home. But in every positive effects theres always a negative effect. With constantly playing of video games students/young ones could be antisocial, in a way where they would spend most of their time playing video games that spending their time with their parents, relative or friends. Video games could also affect your eyes and you can have a poor eye sight. Violence could also be a result of playing video games, there are games that are design to be violent. Above all that, this paper would clear issues between the games and those concerned about them, without any bias in any side. There are different positive effect of video games on the youth. First, Video Games develops our Cognitive skills. Shooting Games or Action Games is a good example for that. A convincing evidence for that is about the first time shooter players in which they were assigned to play randomly assigned games at the same time. Compared to those expert players, the players that were assigned in the shooting game showed a more proper attention allocation, higher space resolution in visual processing, and enhancing the rotational abilities (C.
