I also was a Student Ambassador, Phi Theta Kappa and part of the Philadelphia L.E.A.Ds program. I graduated with my A.A.S in Paralegal Studies with a 3.71 GPA.
In 2012 was able to get a job as a Spanish Text Write at Rovi Corporation thanks to my outstanding communication skills in Spanish. I won The National Andres Bello Price in Spanish in 2003. While working full-time at Rovi, I enrolled in the B.I.S of Information System at Villanova, transitioning from the legal field to the computer science field was extremely tough. I was also working around 10 hours a day. There were many days that I would go to work for eight hours, go to class at six in the afternoon and go back to the office right after class. Nevertheless, I graduated in 2016 with a 3.58 GPA.
In conclusion, I am a deserving candidate for the Villanova School of Business Merit Scholarship – it will be money well-spent. I have earned every one of my successes with sacrifices, resilience, and even some tears.
