Violence is vicious

Violent video games must be banned because our children are getting the idea that violence can and will solve everything. The reasons that prove this are that children will end up thinking violence is the method to everything, they will grow up more depressed because of all the traumatic games they have been playing, and it is bad for there health. Our children will end up vicious violent victims of violent video games if we don’t do something about it.

Firstly, do you want your children thinking violence is the way to solve everything? Our world is getting more violent by the hour, minute, even second and that is because we aren’t stopping violent games and television. Violent video games are making our children more violent every time we say yes to a video game or buy them video games that are way above there age group. If we don’t do anything about this worldwide problem then our world will be filled with mad murderous people.

Secondly, the universes depression rate is rising high, high, high in the sky, the main reason is that children are brought up with depressing violent video games instead of happy games we used to play in the ‘olden days’ when these games weren’t around. These games are absolutely ridiculous and should not be given to our children to play. I am sure that I don’t want my child growing up depressed instead of happy and I know that if you are thinking straight then you will understand that you would not want to either.

Last but not least, have you ever thought about what is happening to your children when they are playing video games? Well if you haven’t then I will explain to you right now. There brains are still developing and brain cells are growing rapidly, but when they play video games there brains are more focused on the game so that the rate of brain cells slow down. One out of the many people that disagrees with this argument is Melissa Henson from the Parent Television Council. From Henson’s point of view, she believes that video games make teenagers more violent than they are already are. As she quoted, “Prolonged exposure to violent images, such as violent video games, can result from in more aggressive behavior.” What she is saying is that violent video games should be banned then rather being played by teens since they have way too much violent and gory images which make them violent…

I think it is most certainly a good idea to rethink what we are putting into the minds of our children in our lives. Violent video games are everywhere: in arcades, people’s homes, and community centers. They are also advertised on television and inside of retail stores. It is almost impossible to be sheltered from violence in today’s society. Leo has stated some…

Many people believe that violent video games should be banned, claiming that they have a negative effect on people. Some even say violent games make people commit violent acts. These games do influence human behavior, which is not always positive, but this does not mean that they should be banned. If a child began playing violent video games at a young age, then he might think that violence in real life is the same as the game violence and that it does not have a real impact on others. However, most children can distinguish between virtual violence and real violence.…

There is a lack of studies that follow kids that tend to play these types of video games for a long period of time. This shows us that these accusations are invalid because no one has proven that “violent video games” cause violent actions. Also, violent thoughts have often been confused with violent actions. For example, someone might say “I hate Becky I want to kill her!” This is just the way teens talk. Just because someone says this doesn’t exactly mean they will do it. Were just teens, we say things we don’t mean causing others to think we have turned into some sort of monsters. I know I said that there is no bond between rated M videogames and violent actions but there is just a tiny one. The only bond that has been proven about these two is that kids that are already violent for many other reasons like bullying, child abuse etc. are the ones who tend to look for these games. The people that want to ban these videogames are making it seem like these video games are some sort of black hole that is just waiting to suck up any kid and turn them into some sort of violent machine. But as you now know, this is a false…

There have been many arguments that have been brought up arguing that violent video games are making kids more violent. Some arguments go as far as saying all video games are making kids more violent. However, the argument can go both ways. People have brought up that video games help kids with hand eye coordination and allow them to vent their frustrations. The earliest videogame has been around since 1958, and this game was a simple game that had no human and no violence in it. As technology became more advanced the videogames became more violent. Starting with a ball bouncing right and left in a videogame called Tennis for Two and ending with an incredibly violent video game that encourages killing other humans in Manhunt 2. There has been much research done on violent video games and their effects on kids, but no outcome has been decided yet.…

Halo, Call of Duty, and Gears of War are just three of many grossly popular video games today, and they have one main thing in common: violence. Whether one is shooting down Nazi soldiers on the beaches of Normandy or sawing apart Locust drones on the planet Sera with his or her lancer, one is engaging in extremely violent video-game action, and probably having a lot of fun doing so. With the rapid growth of intensely violent games, parents and politicians across the nation have begun to protest against violence in video games and have even gone as far as to say it is the cause of violence in America’s youth. Is this really true? Are video games the problem? Just like the rock and roll movement of the 1950’s being blamed for youth delinquency,…
