Was America Justified In Going To War With Mexico
Was America justified in going to war with Mexico? This question is hard to answer as there were many reasons on both sides of the argument. However, in my opinion, the answer would be no.

The Americans violated Mexican laws. How? According to Document D, American slaveholders crossed the Sabine River, which borders Louisiana and Texas, into Texas. This was an act of defiance against the Mexican mandate of freedom. In Mexico, owning slaves were not allowed. Also, when rebellion started, so did territorial robbery. So not only did American citizens break laws of slavery, they were taking away half of Mexico.

In Document C, it is stated that the mobilization of the US army was an outright attack on Mexico. Mexico is not at fault for thinking
