What Caused The Civil War Essay
The end of slavery was not an overnight accomplishment. The end of slavery was the end result of a gruesome war that all started because an abolitionist said “this can not go on any longer”. This war was fought by two mighty sides, The Confederate (north) and The Union (south). Both of them fought over state’s rights, slavery and the economy. This war was the end of many lives but in the end, it made many new ones thrive. This bloody, cruel war was called, The Civil War.

You would think that the only cause of The Civil War was slavery, but boy, oh boy, you are wrong. One of the many causes of The Civil War was states’ rights. Southern states believed that according to the Declaration of Independence, they were free and independent states.
