Carl Rogers (1959) believed that humans have one basic motive, that is the tendency to self-actualize - i.e. to fulfil one 's potential and achieve the highest level of 'human-beingness ' we can. Like a flower that will grow to its full potential if the conditions are right, but which is constrained by its environment, so people will flourish and reach their potential if their environment is good enough.…
A hypocrite is defined as a person who pretends to have virtues, morals, religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess; especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. Jefferson in some ways could be categorized as a hypocrite. He evangelized liberty and freedom for all, yet did not grant this freedom to his slaves. Liberty is defined as freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control. Africans, hispanics, and other minorities were enslaved and treated as property rather than people. This mentality plagued nations for centuries; so much so, that owning slaves was a social standard that demonstrated a person’s ranking and affluence. Due to this social standard, it is in no way surprising that…

Humans are unique. Humans are the only species with unlimited wants. Unlike animals, who stop fighting once they've obtained everything they need and want, human want is unlimited. No matter how well off we are, we will always want more, and when we want more, if we can't find it any other way, we take it from others.…
There is no second opinion about what human beings want in life. What makes a man happy is freedom. Freedom to rule and to have everything one can wish for and that eventually gives birth to greed. Greed, the one word, one attitude and one voice at the bottom which leads to corruption.…
“We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity. We cannot remain looking inwards at ourselves on a small and increasingly polluted and overcrowded planet,” (Stephen Hawkings). Greed has many consequences in our life and can affect more than just ourselves. Greed is in our innermost beings from the day we are born, ‘till the day we die. We force ourselves to give up those selfish ambitions with no avail. We fall into the traps of materialistic items and lose sight of the things that are essential to us. It's the unexpected aftermath that brings us to our knees to weep.…

“Cyberbullying involves the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others.”This form of bullying is bad because it demeans the victim making them feel powerless and scared. The truth is cyberbullying is just as damaging as any other form of bullying. This eventually becomes an issue because this can have an extremely negative impact on the victim. The effects of cyberbullying are more likely to have a higher risk of anxiety, depression, loss of interest in activities, decreased academic achievement, and suicidal thoughts. The victim is more likely to retaliate through extremely violent measures, In 12 of 15 shooting cases in the 1990's the shooter had a history of being bullied. Cyberbullying has affected me by making sure I think before I post.…
