What Home Means To Me Analysis

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was revolutionary in his own right for statements like the one above. It was as if King Jr. was speaking directly to me in an existence that he had not been apart of. King Jr. was world renown and loved by many, but also hated by many and looked at as controversial for his public revolts against the American justice system. In spite of the known hatred that people had for him regarding his stances on social injustice, he preceded to carry out his purpose time and time again in the face of dangers unprecedented. On April 4, 1968 that danger would extend further than it had ever been. King Jr. was assassinated carrying out his purpose. King Jr. inspired me to be firm in the face of adversity no matter how grave the dangers. That is what it means to be thoroughly devoted to your purpose. Home is truly where the heart is. This statement has acted as my shadow for my entire life. Home for me has varied over the past ten years, bouncing around cities during that timespan was a common practice. Home for most people would simply be defined as where ever they sleep on a nightly basis. I have always believed home had a much greater meaning to it.
