What Is Erik's Relationship In The Fisher Family

The Fishers are a family of four who have a very unique relationship with one another. I think the family’s relationship with Erik is one with mixed feelings. Erik is a senior high school football player at Lake Windsor. First of all, Mr. Fisher absolutely adores and loves his son’s football talents. He treats him like a god and like he is the best football player he has ever known. He makes it a point to tell people that his son is great and theirs isn’t. Notice before how I said that Mr. Fisher loves Erik’s football talents. I didn’t say he loved Erik. I say this because after the death of Mike Costello, a teammate of Erik who died on the football field after being struck by lightning, a parent would be worried about putting their son back on the field, but not Mr. Fisher. Mr. Fisher doesn’t care that his son may get killed, but as long as he plays football. Also, a theory I have is that if Erik didn’t play football and played soccer, Mr. Fisher wouldn’t show his attention like he does with Paul. If people asked him what his son Erik does he would monotonously reply “He plays soccer.” Erik has a different relationship with Mrs. Fisher. Mrs. Fisher is like a regular mother and cares for
Paul is a seventh grade soccer player who goes to Tangerine Middle School. He also has an eye problem which causes him to wear bizarre glasses. Mr. Fisher doesn’t care much for Paul. All that Mr. Fisher cares about is Erik so he has no time for Paul. Mrs. Fisher on the other hand is very cautious about Paul’s well-being. She makes sure that Paul is safe. For example, when Paul goes to the Cruz farm she was worried if they were safe people. Also when Paul first joins Lake Windsor Mrs. Fisher makes sure that Paul gets as a guide. Lastly, Paul’s relationship with Erik is a scary one for him. Paul is scared that his brother will do something terrible to him and believes that Erik may have been responsible for Paul’s
