Julius Caesar was a politician and military general from a wealthy Roman family. He conquered Rome and Gaul (France). He governed it for 9 years and soon, he had conquered almost all of western Europe. Julius Caesar gained a lot of power and over time, became a dictator. Many people thought that he was making too many changes to Rome with all of his power. So, the Senate ordered Julius Caesar's death.
