One, everybody learns better when they’re more awake. To start of with, waking up too early can cause people who stay up late doing homework, or spending time with their family, may be tired in the morning. People who play sports, may get homework. So that means they have to do their homework after their sport, which means maybe even after supper. Also, children would be ready to learn, not wanting to take a nap. Another important reason, is that children get to the age where they have to drive to school. Studies have shown that 30% of accident happen a year, all because of …show more content…
tiredness.
Next, it would be better for your health. You could actually have breakfast, the most important meal of the day. Some people do not have time to eat breakfast, because they are too tired to wake up. So they may just grab an unhealthy snack, like a poptart. If school days started later, you would also be able to pack a healthy lunch. Sometimes, some people get to school and realize they do not like what's for lunch. So they either suffer the food or just starve. Parents may have time in the morning before work. So that would mean they would be able to be as a family.
Most importantly, in teenage years, your body goes through an important development phase.
Sleep is very important for this phase. Also, your memory is a key part in school, and sleep is a consolidation of memories. Sleep physically restores the body. It is better for you immune system’s capabilities. Less sleep causes the degradation of moods, which in turn, affects behavior and ultimately relationships.
Some may be thinking, school days will be longer. That is a very good concern, but if school went longer, kids would have less time to do other important things. It would be just like a late start. Us children and teachers do pretty good at handling that. Lastly, kids would be more awake, so the kids would be more smart, so that would mean it would take less time to learn something. So it is okay to have short days because children will be more awake to learn.
To wrap it all up, school should start later in time. Children would be more awake. Eating healthy breakfasts, and packing healthy lunches. Sleep is one of the best things for teenage years. So I think school days should start late, but end
normally.
