World War II was by far the most destructive wars in the U.S. history. It impacted the United States socially, economically, and killed more people in any other war. World war II caused women to join the working force which was a huge step in women's rights and showed how huge the government's role was in this war was. The United States is one of the main reasons that the Allies won the war. At the end of World War I all of the blame was put onto Germany. Germany was given many restrictions and because of this Hitler started to rise. During World war II there was two major alliances: The Axis powers and The Allies. The Axis powers were: Germany, Japan, and . The Allies were: Great Britain, the United States, France(?) and the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union ended up joining…
Hitler started world war two because the treaty of versaille made germany pay money to other countries that fought in world war one. Remember capitalization! World war two was started by Hitler invading Poland and Britain along with France, which declared war on them. “Within a month, Poland was defeated by a combination of of German and Soviet forces…” Germany, France, and Britain kept going at it until the United States was sucked into it and still kept going at it until the horrific bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They all surrendered because they agreed to never use nuclear weapons again.…
After World War I created instability with in Europe the stage was being set for another world war that would follow a mere two decades later. Germany was both unstable politically and economically and with the help of Hitler they were determined to get back on their feet. Hitler began rearming the country and signed strategic treaties with Italy and Japan in order to gain more ground on his goal of world domination. Hitler invaded Poland in September of 1939 and as a result Great Britain and France were inclined to declared war on Germany. World War II…

Out of the 16,112,566 men sent to war from the U.S., 291,557 were killed. Out of all the countries that fought 14, 595,000 died in battle. If that number doesn’t sound drastic enough, it is estimated that 18- 26 million more died, 6 million of those, Jews, in Hitler’s conquest to destroy the lesser races. Because of WWII, the Soviet Union annexed territory along it’s western borders. Germany and Korea were divided into Communists and non-Communist sectors. Eastern Europe and Balkan…
World War II resulted in the death of thousands, destruction all over Europe, and the cost of billions of dollars. Europe had to deal with a divided Germany and a divided Berlin where half of the country was under communist rule and the other half was under Democratic rule. The people of Berlin were in desperate need and Truman sent food, medicine, fuel, and clothing. In contrast, America was stronger and more prosperous than before. A sense of nationalism spread all throughout the country similar to the sense of pride after World War I. The Americans were optimistic, they had money in their pockets, and soldiers were reunited with their sweethearts. American life greatly changed politically, socially, and economically after World War II.…
The World War II was a war that affected the entire world and took place between 1939 and 1945. Most of the countries worldwide were involved in the war with the inclusion of all the great powers. With time, the war was comprised of two opposing military unions known as the Axis and the Allies. Historically, this war is classified as the most widespread where an excess of 100 million individuals served in various military units. During the period of the war, the world was in total chaos. The major participants used all the resources available to them so as to gain an edge in the war. The war was marked by several significant incidents such as the use of nuclear weapons and the mass demise of civilians. It is said that an excess of 60 million individuals lost their lives in the war, making the war the most fatal conflict ever in history.…
It leads to the death of more than 85 million deaths of both civilians and the militaries that belonged to more than 30 countries that had joined the war. Besides the many adverse effects of the world war, it had many positive effects in the political and economic structures of the United States. The main causes of World War II were nationalistic tensions, unresolved issues, and resentments resulting from the World War I and the interwar period in Europe, plus the effects of the Great Depression in the 1930s.The culmination of events that led to the outbreak of war are generally understood to be the 1939 invasion of Poland by Germany and Soviet Russia and the 1937 invasion of the Republic of China by the Empire of Japan. These military aggressions were the result of decisions made by the authoritarian ruling Nazi elite in Germany and by the leadership of the Kwantung Army in Japan. World War II started after these aggressive actions were met with an official declaration of war and/or armed resistance.…

Other countries in World War II were left without leaders so other people had to step up and rebuild their country to what it one was.…
World War II is one of the greatest catalysts for change in history. The most important of long-term consequences of World War II is the fact that so many people had to die to shift world power. However, a consequence does not have to be negative. After World War II, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan were all transformed into democracies. These countries were terrorized by neighboring countries and had to be stopped.…
World War II started in September of 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. By entering this war, the United States had a lot of things at stake by entering WWII including the amount of money and the number of humans that will die in the war. The United States was already experiencing the Great Depression as WWII was beginning. Another thing that was at stake for the US was allowing for their allies, such as England, to fall to Nazi Germany. Although, the US did the right thing by not going into the war until they forced to because during that time the war did not affect them and they would have just lost more people.…
To fully understand modern history, it is important to comprehend the full effects of the Thirty Years War. The end of the Thirty Years War produced a number of dramatic consequences and altered Western Europe in significant religious, political, and social ways. Generally speaking, the post-war period produced the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire and the subsequent fall of the Hapsburg powers. The later divisions that occurred made Europe more like it is now with the Catholic areas in the south and the Lutherans farther north and more importantly, it took the central power from the Catholic Church. It also worked to quelled some of the religious struggles with the eventual Peace of Westphalia. The war also had a large impact on society as it decimated a large portion of the German population, destroyed crops, aided in the spread of disease and obliterated the German economy from the small to large scale. The average people living in Europe during this time were perhaps the most affected by the war. The armies were huge and in order to fund them, states had to raise taxes. In addition, many of the mercenaries went through villages and towns taking all they could from already destitute towns and this, coupled with the increasing demands of the state, planted the seed of anger toward governments that would later emerge throughout the Enlightenment and future rebellions.…
World War 2 (WW2) was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945 and it originated from early conflict within Europe. It involved many of the leading powers of the World including the great powers and became the most widespread war in history. The ending of WW2 led to three very important effects: social, political and economic; that greatly shaped the post-war world. I disagree that economic effects was the most important effect of WW2 because it did not last very long and did not affect a large scope of people as compared to other factors. The criteria used to evaluate the social, political and economic effects of WW2 is the duration of which the effect lasted for, the scope of people it affected and its magnitude. Economic effects did meet the magnitude and duration criteria. However, it did not fulfil the other criteria and it is ultimately political effects that is determined as the main effect of WW2 because it fulfilled all the criteria and largely impacted the post-war world.…
