My grandfather of 75 years had been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma, a type of skin cancer. It's something about the word cancer itself that makes you feel unable to help the situation, but that's not true and my grandfather's nurses seemed to think otherwise as well. With that, I very much believed that he would fight his cancer into remission, despite the ongoing battles with immunotherapy. However, with much love and care, provided by his hospice nurses and family, he passed on December 3, 2017. Taken away from his battle with cancer, I've learned the importance of going after what you want in life because no one is guaranteed tomorrow. Every step that is made towards my future will be met with 110 percent.
