Why I Love Football Essay
For all the people that love soccer. Playing soccer is like making a sandwich. It’s not that hard to play. When I was little soccer was my thing, now I like other sports to. I still play soccer, but I also play football, volleyball, basketball and track ext. I played soccer since I was 7 years old. Hopefully you like soccer because this is going to make you want to play.

As a kid, my cousin Kayla, My sister Jayla and I wanted to play soccer and join a team and we didn’t even have to pay. We asked my older sister Nicole can we sign up and she said yeah. She took us to get the papers and we joined the team. Our first day was just how to play. Our second day was all practice, until the game which was one month later and I’m pretty sure we

All of the kids already knew how to play so we were like little experts. While, the coach was talking we were all ready to play so, she gave us free time to see how good we were. Our practices were only an hour and a half so we started at 12:00 and ended at 1:30. We meet friends on the first day, and we saw our outfits for the team the colors were red and yellow I think I really can’t remember.

The next, day we practiced and practiced until we couldn’t breathe. We always practice at Prescott. We spilt up into four teams so the coach could see how good we were, obviously the whole team was good so it wasn’t a big deal. Coach Lisa played with us sometimes or she would bring people to go against us for even better practice. I’m telling you that was hard work, but we did it.

Getting the team ready wasn’t so hard because, it was mostly all girls and you know some 7 year old boys play to much so. We played in rain drizzles, and hot sunny weather. I really didn’t care about that stuff because it was just playing and working hard. Since we only had like 13 games I think we won 10 but we still tried our best. Our team rivals were the blue and white team and I think they were called the Jagger’s I’m not

I attended every all-star practice before our first game and was hungry with anticipation. The all-star tournament was single elimination, so if we lost even a single game it would all be over. I had some really good friends on the team although I was probably one of the least skilled players. We practiced nearly every day the two weeks before our first game. My excitement was steadily increasing with every practice.…

Everybody from the team was there at the field. If you looked at our team you might think that we were just a bunch of small town screw-offs. We definitely gave the other team that impression as we warmed up. Our team didn’t take things too seriously. In the batting cages, we practiced our home run swings, and trots. The infielders, including me, bare handed the ground balls hit to us by one of the coaches, and jump threw the ball back to the first baseman pretending we were young Derek Jeters. The outfield dove at every ball that was hit at them. Even if the ball was coming straight at them, they ran back and come forward again so they could dive and get the ball. Yes, we were a bunch of…

The team would always get there an hour early so we could stretch and hit in the cage. We were noticeably the best team in the tournament. The coach of the team was a smart guy, he wanted to win but he didn’t want to embarrass anybody. This game didn’t really mean anything, and not to mention we were playing the worst team there.…

It started just as any normal Saturday would; December 8, 2012, I woke up, went through my morning routine and went to soccer practice. I was competing for a spot on the North Carolina ODP (Olympic Development Program) soccer team. Training was being held at fields about two hours from my house. I sat in the backseat of my dad’s car with my two sisters and as we rode to the fields I began to mentally prepare myself for how I would play my best and make the team.…

The experience I want to tell you about today is when my U-10 (ages 8-9) girls soccer team that I coached won the Championship game. Throughout the soccer season we had practice twice a week for 12 weeks and games every saturday morning for eight weeks. At the first few practices I learned a little bit about each player and found out whether they had played soccer before or not. With every practice and game our team became better and better. We actually lost all of our games before tournaments. Through coaching these girls though I learned that the more we got to know each other and learn each other's strengths and weaknesses the more we became a well developed team. I also began to see who did and did not get along with each other all the…

My team that year, the Tornados, weren’t anything amazing, either. We had possibly a couple skilled people, yet most, like me, were what you could call decent. The last minutes of the game were counting down with the scoreboard reading 1-1 when down the field I spot…
