Why I Want To Attend College Essay

Who knew life would go by so fast ? I never thought graduating high school would be here so soon. The laughter, learning, and all the good times will all be over soon. We will all be moving on to hopefully succeed and enjoy the rest of our life’s in a couple of months. It has been a long and crazy ride thus far, who knows what is to come in the future. Immediately after high school I plan on going to college. I hope to attend a university within Mississippi. I would really like to attend the University of Mississippi. Although I am not completely sure what career I wish to purse, I have two in mind. These careers consist of either being an attorney, or an FBI detective. If I decide to pursue the career choice of being a lawyer, I believe I would live a very successful life. I would major in law at Ole Miss and do my best to get in to law school. On the other hand, If I decide to be a detective, I would be doing what I have dreamed to do. Ever since my internship in Washington D.C with the national security I have been interested in the FBI. Furthermore, whichever path I choose, I believe that I will make the right choice in time and lead a successful career.
I do not believe that my future is going to be a smooth and painless road.
I fear my upcoming responsibilities. I think I have a very difficult, yet, rewarding future ahead. I know that college is supposed to be a lot of fun, but I know it is also an abundance of work. I fear that college will get the best of me and I will want to party all the time. I hope I will be able to set my priorities and keep track of my school work. Also, I am very anxious about growing up. I know that soon I will be living on my own without my parents. It sounds like bundles of fun, but it will also be a big change. I am scared and excited about the future that is to
come. I hope to make our generation and those to come a better world to live in. I think that both of my career choices would help in certain ways. If I end up being a detective I can solve crime cases and help put bad people in jail. With crime rates going up significantly every year, I think that any career crime related would be a good way to help make our future world a better place. If I purse the career of a lawyer, I would be doing relatively the same thing. As a lawyer, I could help bring justice to the court room and help put criminals in jail. Also, I think if I were to be a lawyer, I could leave an everlasting impression on people. I think my family and others would see it as making a prestigious career choice. Moreover, I could leave a good mark on people in the court room, and earn a lot of respect as a person. I believe I will leave an extraordinary impression on our generation to come. In reality, I am still in high school, and these are still only dreams. I can only hope for these dreams to come true. Again, life moves really fast and high school is almost over. Although, for now, I am going to enjoy the present and let my future fall into place.
