Many of my interests relate to my goals for the future.
My main goal is to become a registered nurse and continue to work towards becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner so I can help to save future generations. With this job, my other goal is to become involved in a program where I can volunteer as a nurse in foreign countries. Along with my ambitions for my occupation and education, I have the goal to help make a difference in the community for children who do not have the support system to encourage them in their education that I was so graciously blessed with. I have witnessed peers with so much intelligence drop out or fall behind due the lack of encouragement or
motivation. Along with my interest and goals, I have a variety accomplishments. In addition to maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout school, I have managed to pass more than three or more advanced placement exams and be awarded as an Advanced Placement Scholar. I have also managed to excel in many of the extracurricular activities that I participate in such as becoming president of the National Honor Society Club at my school, vice president of the women’s volunteer club known as NIKE, and a significant part in the leadership team in the band at my high school. I believe that these accomplishments will help me to become a strong team player or leader in the future since my hard work in both my education and social activities has led me to mature and be empathic with others. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock became one of the main contenders for my education soon after I went on a tour there. I was so impressed with the nursing program and simulated hospital that I could not imagine a better environment to learn how to become an educated and successful nurse. The people that I encountered with while on my tour of the campus were so welcoming and inclusive that it reassured that my time at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock would be neither lonely or boring. Although I take pride in my interests, goals, and accomplishments, those would all mean nothing unless I was to be able to use the benefits of those at a college that not only has so many great opportunities but also so many great people.
