The first reason animal testing is not good, is that it harms animals. According to Ian Murna, after research the animals are killed. Animal testing gets animals sick. It gets animals sick because some of the drugs that the scientists use for animals may not be healthy for them (Animal testing 101). The world is so nervous about animals going extinct, then why do we use them for testing then? Animals are kept in small cages (Animal testing 101). Animals need to move around just like humans, how is that fair to them, animals have feelings just like humans.
Some may claim that it’s completely safe for people, but it’s not and here is why. 92% of drugs are passed by animals testing and then it immediately fails on humans (33 reasons why animal testing is useless). Animals must be fed, housed and cared for. (Ian Murna.) There many animals being tested on so they have to buy a lot of food, 1 big bag of dog food is usually about 20.00 dollars and that’s only one bag and they have to buy many bags of food. On top of that, animal testing may occur more than once a month (Ian Murna). While testing you have to buy the medicine so you can test. Also the price of animals are very expensive and there are many animals being used (Ian Murna). According to Petition animal testing in the U.S spends 16 billion dollars on animal testing a year.
Animal testing is expensive, harms animals, and harms people. Those are some negatives to animal testing. So why keep doing it? This is only a couple reasons why animal testing should not be
