In the text for the side of longer school days it states,”People in favor of longer school days say kids need to learn to stay more competitive in today’s world. The additional hours allow teachers to spend more time on each subject.” This is saying that people who want longer school days feel as if it would give teachers more time to teach more things,and it would improve test scores. On the other side there are people who feel regular school days would benefit their kids more and this is evidence why,”And extra school time might prevent students from exploring other interests. Some students have complained about having to stay later. They are concerned that they wouldn’t be able to concentrate during the last classes of the day.” This means that if we have longer school days their kids won’t stay focused and then they wouldn’t be able to learn,and that would lead to bad
