Through the acts of persuasion techniques of association (meaning association of family), celebrities (people who follow these celebrities are more likely to join the movement), fear, intensity and repetition it serves to motivate the audience to take a stand. Through the rhetorical appeals of ethos and pathos the speakers successfully persuade the audience about urgency and timeliness about this controversial issue.
