Background
If one research why people pursue a graduate study, the recurrent reason found in most papers and articles would be to advance or change the current career and to improve one’s financial situation to upgrade the present lifestyle. I am a consultant who provides professional advices in many sectors including the health care sector. Although working as a consultant is fulfilling, it generally means we are ‘generalist’. To enhance my career, I felt the need to become a ‘specialist’. Pursuing a graduate study was the answer, as graduate studies enable student to plunge in a subject of interest. I always had a weakness toward the health care sector; however, the much turbulence in life did not help me pursue my dream of working in the health care sector. M.
