To explain, Hasselstrom describes how she had been harassed multiple times. She sought out ways to protect herself and ultimately found that carrying a gun was her best option for her own protection. It is understandable why the opposition believes that carrying a gun is the most suitable way to protect themselves. Though it is a valid point, guns are still dangerous objects when they are not used properly and are not understood thoroughly. Concisely, there are many reasons why guns are dangerous. A child could find and gun and fire it upon themselves, someone could misuse it in a state of fear, or someone could accidentally misfire a gun while cleaning it. People say that guns are good for protection against other people who have guns, but if guns were banned completely, then a gun problem would not exist.
