ACT-REACT Intervention Paper
The researchers began the intervention by providing the students with necessary materials. The materials included a graphic organizer, a timer, a self-monitoring think sheet or booklet, a writing utensil, and handouts specific to the work session. The think sheets offered students guidance in documenting their goals, reflections, evaluations, and progress. The students recorded their attention every five minutes and evaluated their performance every thirty to forty-five minutes. During the ACT-REACT intervention, students followed six procedures that corresponded with their provided materials; articulate goals, create a work plan, take pictures, reflect using self-talk, evaluate progress, and act again.
