I believe that both are key factors in the business world. Furthermore, I enjoy to travel a lot. So far my travels have taken me to various countries such as England, Italy, France, and Spain. While travelling, I've noticed that all countries are extremely different. Not only are their cultures different but so are their economies. I notice on your site that many of your students and professors have applied their economical and management tools to help solve problems on every continent. I find this idea to be very interesting and I would like to be able to do the same thing if I could. I think it would be interesting to learn about how all countries work differently. I also have a lot of other features that I think would make me a perfect fit for your school.
I am a great leader and throughout my high school career I have taken every opportunity I could to display this. For three out of my four years I have participated as a Muskoka Woods Leader. This required me to spend a week at a summer camp at which I would lead a group of grade 7s through a series of fun activities. Being a leader at this camp wasn't always fun and games though. I had encountered many situations with the grade 7s in which I would have to improvise and apply my knowledge of leadership to sort out. For example, during one of our games we would play, there was a little boy who was sitting off on the side not participating. I went over to talk to the boy to find out what was wrong. When I found out that he didn't understand how to play the game I knew exactly how to fix it. I brought him over to a corner and me and him played our own little one on one version of the game. I taught him how to play and I played with him until he was finally ready to join the other grade 7s. As well as being a Muskoka Leader, in my grade 11 year, I was a Link Leader for my high school. This was different from being a Muskoka Leader because this time I was working with grade 9 students who were entering high school. Throughout the year I worked with the grade 9s giving them secret tips and tricks about how they could survive their freshman year of high
school. As well as being a leader, I am also a great team player and I am able to cooperate well with others. At my school, I am involved with many sports teams such as cross country, basketball and track and field. To my successful in sports requires a lot of team work which I have been able to build throughout my years at high school. Sports have taught me to work extremely hard and to not do things for myself, but to do it for my team. During a big game or a meet, if one person isn't working as hard as they can, this can bring the energy of the entire team down. In grade 9, I was awarded the spirit award for cross country because I was able to motivate the others around me by keeping my energy high all the time. In grade 10, I was very honoured to be awarded the Coaches' Award for my junior boys basketball team. I was awarded this award, for being able to lead and cooperate well with my other teammates. In the field of business I believe that team work is a key component. To be successful you must know how to work well with others and I believe that my sports have helped me achieve this. Throughout my life, I have had many influential experiences that have led me to my overall decision of applying for this major. By participating in the various different activities that have been stated, I believe that my skills and characteristics have been crafted in a way that would make your AEM program a perfect fit for me. Properties I have such as my cooperation and leadership skills, as well as my growing love for knowledge, are all indicators that I will excel at your school.
