Bilbo's Journey
The Hobbit essay

Bilbo was a quiet, simple hobbit. He always wanted to stay in his little hobbit hole, until one day. Throughout his journey, bilbo loses this idea more and more. He instead starts to enjoy the life of adventure, and he develops as a character. Bilbo is forever changed by his journey.

To begin, Bilbo doesn’t care what the other hobbits think of him. In chapter 19 he says that he is happy with his own life and he doesn't need the approval of all the other hobbits. But before Bilbo's journey he wants to be a respected hobbit. This change shows how Bilbo's journey changed his life perspective. But this is not the only way his journey changed him.
