Brief Summary: Slavery In The Bahamas
It was a bright and warm afternoon. The seagulls were squawking, the waves were crashing against each other, and the children were laughing. If you looked off the side of the cruise ship you could see the very pretty greenish blue sea, you could see the dolphins jumping in and out of the water. This particular cruise ship went around the Caribbean. Through the stunning coral reefs and crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Bahamas, and the shallow warm waters of Puerto Rico. As the ship moved more towards Bermuda, the sky got darker and cloudy, the sea got more rough as the waves crashed against the ship making it move side-to-side. Once they got into Bermuda, a big storm was about to hit and there was no land anywhere near to station the …show more content…
The farther the ship went into the Bermuda, the larger the waves got, the more the ship rocked. There was a little girl named Margaret, she was about seven years old. Margaret was on vacation with her family, her parents go on this cruise every summer. The ship kept rocking back and forth, each time getting closer and closer to the water. Eventually the ship got so close to the water that a wave crashed on to the deck leading it to get too close the water, too close that it started to fill the deck with, the salty greenish blue water that appeared crystal-clear on the deck. Margaret's parents were panicking, they had no idea were Margaret ran off to. The last time Margaret’s parents saw her was when she was running around with this boy she met at one of the activities for children. The boy was a few years older than Margaret, he was about 10 years old, his name was chase. Chase hung-out with his older brother Garrett the whole time on the cruise. Garrett was 17 years old, he loved the outdoors. Everything he did was something outside, like hiking or camping. When Garrett was younger he was in Boy Scouts, so he knows how to survive if he got stranded somewhere. About thirty-two minutes after the last time Margaret’s parents saw her the cruise ship got taken over by a huge tidal …show more content…
Due to the storm, the waves were huge and very rough, for any passengers that managed to get away from the ship, they drowned from the waves constantly crashing against them over and over again. Only five people managed to get on to the few lifeboats, Margaret’s parents got one that was on the far left side of the ship, and Margaret, Chase, and Garrett got a lifeboat that was on the far right. As the ship sank the two groups paddled away in opposite directions, one leading to the coast of Puerto Rico, and other way leading to an uninhabited island. Margaret kept asking Garret “when are we going home, I miss my mommy and daddy.” As she asked Garrett that question, chase saw something and screamed for everyone to look. “Look guys there is land, were safe, we can go find help.” When Garrett paddled to the island and pulled the boat upon shore he said “ I don’t think we're gonna find any help on this overgrown island.” Margaret’s parents ended up getting to the coast of Puerto Rico and found help, they sent out a search party for their daughter Margaret and any other passengers that could be alive. Three-weeks after they sent out a search party they finally found something … they found three half decayed and half eaten

As we gather around the campfire, we talk about the discovery of the ship. Sophie believes that the ship teleported there, however, we all deem that a mere facade. However, my logical explanation would be as an old traveler was traveling the sea, they scratched the surface of some coral reef that caused flooding within the ship and they were stranded on the island.…
