After saying goodbye to his wife, he drives to the Cartersville Budweiser brewery to meet with workers while the radio explains there is desperate need of aid. Following through with this idea of canning water instead of beer, the whole process is shown all the way towards shipment. Finally, the man is shown back at home with his wife, where she discovers on the news the efforts he has made. It is not until the end of the commercial when the names of the states and Puerto Rico are listed off with the lasting message of “Whenever you need us, we’ll stand by you” (Budweiser 2018 Super…, …show more content…
Some of these techniques are subtle while others are obvious. The first pathos appeal is shown when the Cartersville factory worker is willing to leave his wife in the middle of the night to do his job. He is a typical middle-aged man shown wearing a wedding band and kissing his wife goodbye to symbolize him and his wife’s happy marriage. Viewers now understand this worker highly prioritizes this need to help others. After driving through the dark night, all workers are shown ready to put in the effort once he gets to the factory. Image 1 is a screenshot from Budweiser’s website that further shows their appreciation for dedicated employees and how far their efforts go. The commercial shows happy, willing faces to show Budweiser truly cares about their water donation program. Although viewers do not realize this is the mission until the process of canning water in the brewery are shown, they understand the idea that this is urgent. When the wife sees what her husband has been doing at work, she does not have to say anything. She simply gives him a smirk showing she is proud of her husband’s dedication. He smiles back to symbolize his gratification while staying humble. Their humbleness further expresses their intentions of this water donation program. They do not want publicity; they do it out of
