CLDE 5035 Reflection
This was the biggest issue I had while attending UCD. Coming out of the STR program and deciding to complete the Master's program I found it difficult to navigate what was expected of us. This was because depending on who I spoke to the answers about what I needed to do were completely different. For example we were given a sheet with required classes to complete when we completed STR then when we started to take those classes we were told we were taking classes we didnt need to. Then when we began to do the culminating experience nobody could tell us exactly what was expected of us through this process and up until we started CLDE 5035 we were told we didnt have to complete the culminating experience. So my advice to the school on advising

Academic writing is a vital instrument for the proper thoughts expression which will provide the reader with a cohesive and balanced information. Taking ESL 273 has greatly improved my writing and organizing skills. Unfortunately, my strong sides, consisted of detailed examples and powerful grammar structure, weren't realized as much as they could or usually implemented. However, my weakest side, minor grammar errors, turned to opposite due to intensive practice. Additionally, I've learned plenty of new techniques in paraphrasing, cohesive writing, creating a well-developed introduction, body and conclusion paragraphs. I'm satisfied with my progress and knowledge I've received and define myself as completely prepared to move on the academic path to ESL 5.…

PLC Final Reflection Describe/discuss how your PLC meetings and your learning, influenced your practice? Please provide specific examples related to what you learned when you presented your own practice, as well as what you learned when your colleagues shared their practice. Our PLC group has influenced my practice by making me aware of the focus areas to improve my practice. As I compiled my information, I realized I should have varied my assignments and given the self-check part of the assignment to the inclusion class only. The other students felt it was not challenging for them.…

    WRI-101 Reflection

I could start this off with a sappy story talking about how I endlessly nitpicked my essays and challenged myself to improve upon my writing ability this semester, but I would be lying. The truth is that often the final product of my works in WRI-101 was mindless binge watching of cat videos, procrastination, and last minute inspiration. No essay one writes will be perfect, and you cannot force upon perfection. To fulfill thought out ideas that satisfy the requirements of the assignments of WRI-101, you need a foundation to build upon. Thus, go out and spark your creativity. If that means taking a stroll through the commons or indulging your ears with six straight hours of Freddie Mercury’s god-like voice, then so be it. Between you and I, embrace procrastination, and once an idea miraculously pops into your head, open the…

During the semester, we have had many opportunities to interact with people outside of school. Most of them were aimed at our futures, helping me discover the paths I would want to choose in the future. The careers expo was a major event when we had the opportunity to talk to career experts from all different industries from Coles and Woolworths to major university representatives. This helped me explore some career paths that I had not even thought about, the strengths and weaknesses in some careers, learn more about university courses and what each course requires and even suitable part time jobs. One of the conversations that was very useful to me was with a woman that worked at the Flinders’ University. I talked to her about the medicine course. She told me about the different options Flinders’ has to offer to its students. I also got to know that I can do the medicine course in Charles Darwin University and graduate with a Flinders’ degree and also that doing the Flinders’ course in Darwin is quicker time wise. I also got to know that taking the IB will make the medicine course easier for me. Talking, to other university representatives, I also got an idea of other courses that I could consider. I also saw some companies that offered part time jobs. Talking to these people at the careers expo was a very good experience as we all learned new information and I did consider some courses and plans that I did not even know about.…

Last year I wrote a mid-term reflection for my ENC1101 class, and it was a summary of how I didn’t take writing serious. However, I had improved as the semester progressed. In ENC1102 I wrote my first essay, and I received my first C on a paper, and it bothers me. I know I could’ve done way better. All the grammatical errors I exhibiting weren’t intentional, and it could be solved through the reading of my paper out loud. My issues within my paper in regards to my arguments are not a great issue, but I do not incorporate enough evidence to support my claims, hence making my argument diminish in strength. With my second paper, I tried to incorporate more quotes and evidence into paper. I also have tried to include information that was not discussed…

    1. To prepare for the NCLEX-RN, I plan to devote the months of May and June to studying. I intend to spend the majority of my time going back through my notes from all of the semesters and making note of things that I will need to refresh on again just prior to taking my NCLEX. As of now, I don’t feel as though this is something that may be unrealistic however, I understand once I get into actually studying my plan may change. I also have a Kaplan NCLEX book I plan to utilize to prepare for this exam, as well as using online resources such as U-World. As of this moment, I am unsure if I will be able to participate in the Hurst review but, I am still looking into my options.…
