Children over 15 Shouldn't Be Allowed to Make Decision on Own
Teenagers today are living in a high technology environment. They could easily access to information just by sitting down in front of the laptop and having a better education system. So, we can see that children above the age of 15 today seem like having a greater knowledge and confidence if compared to the children in old days that look silly and know nothing. But with the age of only slightly above 15 they do not have emotional maturity or enough experience to take important decisions.
During these ages they are living in world that full of adventures and mysterious. Due to their curiosity, they can easily be lured by misleading elements in the society, both physically and emotionally. They could be exposing to bad habits like drug addiction and alcoholism. Besides that, age of 15 is the age of puberty and hormonal changes take place in boys and girls. This is a very critical period and children are prone to premature sex and wrong doings with terribly miserable consequences. They might encounter with problems such as get pregnant. Because they afraid their parents know about it, at last decided to abort the baby through some unlicensed private clinic or commit suicide. These decisions call for a mature age and not an underage
Furthermore, teenagers would also easily attract to earning money through illegal job. They will be informed how easy the work is and once the work done they will get high paid. Those teenagers might be used in transporting drugs to overseas or become prostitute. This all is the outcome of immature decision taking. Elders would require a lawful control over them at this age to safeguard them from such potential dangers.
Parents and teachers who have greater experience and emotional maturity should guide them at this age, but at the same time should respect and accept ideas of them. Hence, I think that there is no need to change the present law because if the law is adjusted to protect the rights these children, both parents and teacher

In my response the driving age should not be raised. This concern has been a problem then and still is today. The Driving age should not be raised , one reason is 16 or 17 year olds drive everywhere in case of emergencies , for work , school and we shouldn’t take that away from them. If the 16 year old or 17 year old are trying to drive they at least should have a permit and should require it so that if they get stopped by a patrolling officer they know if they have the privilege to drive or not and should get fine if they are caught without a permit. It’s important to learn how to drive at an early age because it can really help if their is some type of emergency throughout the family and they need to drive to the hospital or a parent can’t drive anymore and needs to be driven.…

The main questions that would be taken into consideration are: what decisions should we let a minor make? Why should those decisions be up to a minor and not any others? If a parent thinks these decisions could cost a minor his/her own life, should the mother/father make the decisions for them? Even with these questions at hand, our responsibility is to determine if we should even let…

This is a very dangerous mindset that adults are constantly participating in, due to the fact that it discourages teenagers from expressing, or even having their opinion when they’re adults. Moreover, it could encourage them to treat future teenagers with the same amount of disrespect when they’re older, which is deconstructive to both sides. Not only do teenagers deal with a repeatedly flippant attitude from adults, they have to endure the doubt that these stereotypes have instilled in…

Thru the course of my personal life I have observed both at a personal level, and thru observation of the news media that there are some adolescent’s that are far more mature than their age. However, there are always two sides to a story, contrasting circumstances or situations, and reality is that it is far more complex when analyzing maturity or immaturity of an adolescent. There has been research based on studying adolescent maturity and the brain, which has impacted both public debate and policies in general.…

First of all, the primary source uses many words to describe adults’ actions to indicate the oppression teenagers suffered right now. Evidence like “clean up your looks,” “watch all the things you do,” “got methods of keeping you clean” and “rip up your heads” clearly show what kind of oppression teenagers have and what they need to resist. Adults are trying to make teenagers fit the “good standards” created by them. Good teenagers should be innocent, be obedient, study hard and so on. What’s more, adults are ready to find out teenagers’ mistakes at any time so that they could guide teenagers to what they thought is the correct way. They also want to make teenagers believe that the adults’ words are all right. Teenagers who live in such environment…

just 18 why not 17-19? Teenagers should be allowed to be determined as adults from the ages of 17-19 in all states because after 16 they have jobs and cars to drive with, and would soon be taught how to pay bills after the age of 18. “Teenagers should be allowed to be determined as adults from the ages of 17-19“ I think this because as i said they would already have a job and cars to drive with at the age of 16, and they would soon be learning about how to pay bills after a few years. It’s important for others to know this because they should be able to vote about what age kids shall be determined as adults. Paragraph one does not yet prove my claim but the fact that the age for kids to become adults it 17-19 because of two certain reasons including their working life.…

Americans today tend to believe that the current system in place for determining the legal age of responsibility in America is outdated; the age in which a person should be considered an adult should be changed to 25. Although the human brain is not developed til the age of 25 that does not mean that all laws should be moved until you turn 25. In fact 30 percent of American teens are more competent than the median adult in a variety of areas. Showing that theyŕe not yet 25 it proves that people can mature before turning 21 or 25. Therefore I believe that the current system in place for determining the age of responsibility for minors could be improved if starting with the driving age at 16 and then every year thereafter the next major responsibility…
