The color of your skin, your gender, your choice of religion, marriage equality- these things make you who you are, and these things do not matter to Hillary Clinton. Moreover, Donald Trump does not have respect for every race: he believes that Americans, or whites, are superior. His comments about foreign races are inappropriate and disrespectful, and racist on a different level of extremity. Furthermore, to say that Donald Trump could successfully represent every American citizen is a false idea, a facet of an over reactive imagination. He is …show more content…

The election had surprises for both sides. On the Republican side most people were surprised Donald Trump was elected Republican Nominee. On the Democratic side, everyone was surprised on how long it took for Hillary Clinton to beat the unknown senator Bernie Sanders. These two are the exact opposites. Trump believes that we should build a wall between Mexico and the United States, and Mexico will pay the bill. He also says that he will temporarily ban Muslim immigrants from certain countries. Hillary Clinton and Jane Addams both saw a need for labor reform nearly one hundred years apart. Clinton and Addams’s progressive ideas are similar in which they want all workplaces to be safe for the employees, a day’s wage to increase in order to satisfactorily provide for employees families, and a stable future for when the workers reach retirement. Jane Addams drew her focus on child labor. The industrial revolution brought the concept of child labor. Children were working in places such as mills and factories, with unhealthy working conditions and little to no wages. Addams was strongly against child labor and it’s abuse and at the 1903 annual meeting of the National Conference of Charities and Corrections, she stated that, “…It has come…

Through the first presidential debate, Hillary Clinton has proved that she is the best choice for President. First, she proved that she is more empathetic to the common American. She herself came from a middle-class family. During the debate, she preached about her hardworking father, who worked in drapery. Trump came from a wealthy family, so he cannot relate to average Americans as well as Clinton can. She then expressed her desire for tax cuts for the middle class, and tax increases for the rich. She also mentioned how she intends to create 10 million jobs by investing in industries such as “clean energy”. She proved that she will do her best to make everyday life better for them. Next, she behaved more professionally then her opponent,…

I do not know if Donald Trump views it as you do. Trump represents a sizeable group in America that wants the worst for this nation. He constantly remarks about discriminatory and bigotry type practices. Today’s times and concerns are not the same as the 1700s, 1800s and 1900s, and as a result, one would think that race relationships would be much improved; unfortunately, it does not seem like that, and I do agree with you. This class has open my eyes pertaining how White American has treated non-white people, which consist of southern justice, reconstruction, Japanese being jailed during World War II, Native Americans being forced on reservations, and much more. There is a need for “equality” and fairness in this country. Those words…

In March 2015, Hilary Clinton came into the public limelight after she was exposed that she used a private email server for official communications. This happened when she was the United States Secretary of State. This was breaking the regulations since she was supposed to utilize the official state Department email accounts that are maintained on Federal government servers. She also deleted 32,000 emails that she claimed to be private (Dinan, 2015). By doing this, she defied State Department procedures and protocols and also the Federal legislation that govern the requirements for recordkeeping. And by doing so they would have to face a lot of the issues and policies America has today. The issues of; Education, Terrorism, and immigration. Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton are promising to deal with these issues of immigration, education, and foreign policy. However, based on what was said by both, after comparing and contrasting the two: Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton both want the same thing for education, they want to make it more affordable for students, however when it comes to Immigration Trump wants to get rid of every illegal in a harsh and irrational way. Meanwhile, Clinton wants to just deport the illegals that are a threat to society. And when it comes to terrorism Mr. Trump wants to ban all Muslim people from entering our country because he feels this will end it. While Hilary wants to prevent it with plans that have prevented it in the past. Because of these factors I believe that Hilary Clinton is the best candidate for the presidency because of her rational thinking and calmness, she portrays the best features that the future President should…

In The Namesake based on the book and movie by Jhumpa Lahiri, there are several events and scenes that are interpreted differently throughout the film and book. The book is based on Gogol Ganguli, the son of immigrant parents Ashoke and Ashima Ganguli who struggles with his double identity and rebellion towards his family. The movie is quite different with its focus on the parents and their relationship more than Gogol, the main character. The characters in the book that are portrayed by the actors in the film are very important because it subtracts and diverts the focus of Gogol’s struggles who is the heart of the novel.…
