Pet Dog or Pet Cat All over the world, people adopt or purchase animals to serve as pets. People own pets for a variety of reasons, and there are many different animals that can serve as pets. However, two of the most commonly found pets are dogs and cats. Both animals can serve as excellent pets, but depending on the customer, a dog might make a better pet than a cat, or a cat might make a better pet than a dog. In order for a future pet owner to make a choice between investing in a dog or cat, it all comes down to the cost, time, and attention revolving around the two different animals. When investing in a dog or a cat, the customer has to understand that both animals cost money to own. In general, dogs are a more expensive investment. Even in the initial adoption or purchase, a dog usually costs more than a cat. A dog owner has to buy food for their dog to eat twice a day; and the quantity of each meal varies between big dogs and small dogs. In addition, dog vaccinations cost money, as well as different supplies like shampoo to keep dogs clean, and toys to keep dogs happy. If a pet dog gets sick, the owner has to pay money to take the dog to a vet and buy medicine for the animal to get better. If a dog owner goes out of town, he or she usually has to pay money for someone to take care of their dog. Which can end up being expensive because of the amount of time behind taking care of a dog. Just like dog owners, cat owners have to spend money on food for the animal. Cats do not normally eat as much as dogs but still need to be fed two times a day. Cat owners have to buy shots for their cats to keep them healthy as well as purchase different supplies a cat needs to function. Cat owners have to buy a litter box and litter for their cats to use the bathroom. Pet cats and pet dogs both cost money to support, and the cost of investment is different depending on the animal. Along with cost, owning a pet dog or cat requires

There's a reason cats aren't called man's best friend – and it's all in their genes, according to a new study. Cats are simply not as domesticated as dogs despite sharing households with humans for at least 9,000 years, researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine have found. The reason is because they have been able to retain their hunting skills and ability to see well during the night-time. Cats were first domesticated in the Near East about 10,000 years ago. The modern domestic cat is descended from a wild ancestor called Felis silvestris lybica. All 600 million house cats in the world have been traced back to five females of this species. They lived in the forests before they moved into villages. Ancient Egyptians worshipped…

While the number of people owning cats and dogs in Canada has grown about one to two per cent per year, in the past few years, the Canadian pet industry has presented an average growth of 3.6% per year for several years, considering food, supplies, and services. Considering that Momentaa offers high quality and unique product, the range of competitors is narrowed compared with low cost products. However, this industry is growing fast, driven by the “premiumization and humanization” of pets over the years, leading to pet owners to spend more on their pets, buying more high-end accessories, higher quality foods, and more expensive medical treatments. ,…

Title: Compare-Contrast Essay In twenty first century communication is very important aspect to humans. People have to talk the way listeners like. When there is male and female working together, there always occurs a problem of communication. Men like to talk about one topic whereas women like to talk about different topic. This problem commonly occurs in newlyweds. The husband thinks that his wife is so over caring, on the other hand the wife thinks that her husband is not emotional. This problem occurs because both men and women have different types of talking styles, different ways of thinking, and different point of views. I am reading two articles based on this problem. One of them is “His Talk, Her Talk” by Joyce Maynard, and the second article is “Man to Man, Woman to Woman” by Mark A. Sherman and Adelaide Haas. “Man to Man, Woman to Woman” is better at explaining the problem of male-female communication than “His Talk, Her Talk”. I am going to compare these two articles to show why one is better than the other. In her article “His Talk, Her Talk”, J. Maynard explains the problem of male-female communication by stating her own experiences from her life. The author describes how men and women like to talk about different topics. First, she gives the example of her son, who plays with the blockmaking car noises rather than playing with the doll. She explains that there are no innate differences between men and women, but it’s the environment who has taught the child about the differences. The author also focuses on the incident when she went for a party where men and women were separated into two different groups. Men were talking in the living room; on the other hand women were comfortable talking in the kitchen. Sometimes, these things even happen to us, but we don’t even notice them. Then she talks about her and her husband. Then she makes a good point that man like to talk point to point. She explains how man summarizes the whole event and…

I know this sounds trivial and silly but this particular connection is far more important than people would expect. Ph. D John Bradshaw states that although the owner’s bond with the animal will remain constant and strong no matter the species of the animal, their feelings towards you could be significantly different depending on which animal you choose. He then backs up this claim stating the obvious “cats are different from dogs”. This is something we all know but we probably don’t pay much attention to what that means when choosing an animal to grow a relationship with. For instance, a dog will need to be walked unlike a cat, which means you will need to commit to the extra exercise and work put into an animal, this may be why dog owners stress that their bond is much greater than those of a cat owner (Bradshaw, John, Ph.…
