Is someone close to another, wanting to be a drum major? Well, they are in luck. Today we are going to talk about becoming a drum major step by step. Drum majors have many responsibilities they have to accomplish. For example: knowing the music for the inside out. Drum majors are more than just a person flapping their arms on a stand. We will learn steps through tryouts, practice or football games, and competitions.

Practice is what makes one more precise in what they do. In directing everyone has to be sharp and noble. No one can go up on their podium and direct sloppy and expect the band to follow their tempo. The target point for tempo is the drums.
Marching onto the field for a halftime show is very important. All band members have to stand up tall, feet together, and chest out. Drum majors have to do this too. They have to do this so the band will know to do this. Next, we get onto the stand. We get up there, stand tall, and give it the best one can possibly give.
The last, but most important, thing is competition. Competition is where someone is judged by their appearance. The scores they will receive is determined on how they do. Someone could get a one, two, or three with one being the best. After being told the score, the judges move on to best in class. Best in class is where someone out of the division has scored more points than the other. Anyone wanting to be a drum major strives to get a best in class.
After all the things we have talked about, we hope that the person reading this learned many facts about becoming a Drum Major. Step one is preparing for tryouts. Step two is preparing for games. Last step is preparing for competition. Good luck to all trying
