Task one:
1.1
The aspects that are covered by the UK law are things like minimum wage, hours work, discrimination, health and safety, holiday entitlement, redundancy and dismissal, training and others like disciplinary procedures, union rights and consultation. The laws of labor cover the things between the employee and the employer. The health and safety laws cover the work conditions, minimum wage and other laws set basic compensation levels. The UK also has the disability act, manual handling operations and regulations, data protection act.
1.2
The main features of the current employment legislation are covered in three main things, Equalities and discrimination law and health and safety.
1.3
The reason why legislation relating to the employment exists is to help the rights of the employers and employees by giving rules and regulations that must be followed and you might need advice on your contract or it might be about your health and safety rights as in bullying, pay, holiday rights, sickness rights.
1.4
The types of information and advice available in relation to employment responsibilities and right are your contract handbook, your policy documents, your terms and conditions and your job description
Task 2:
2.1
The contract of my employment sets out what my employer expects from me and what I’m paid and what my holidays are, it is a binding contract so if I get in trouble I can be sacked for breaking my contract.
2.2
The information that is shown on my pay statement is the name of the company that employs me, my full name and staff id number and my pay role number, the amount I am paid plus the details like how many hours I do, my full name and the occupation name. It also says about any deductions and then the total amount.
2.3
If you have tried to solve a problem by seeing your manager but your not happy you can make a complaint with a grievance complaint, The employer should put their grievance procedure in writing
