Free College Education
Should free college education be available to everybody in the United States? College should not be free for various reasons. These include, the overcrowding of schools, students will not value education, and will also create more competition for jobs.

Since college would be free then overcrowding would be one of the many problems in them.Overcrowding means less free spaces for colleges that actually do want to study hard to find a seat. Also, since there is more students in the school then the more supplies would be needed however, they will not have enough money

Students will not value education.First of all, since students wouldn’t have to pay then they wouldn’t value their education as much therefore, it would be easier for them to drop

If one looks at the data, the bigger problem is that many students don’t finish college. “Only about 55 percent of students graduate six years after starting,” Bob Luebke (a writer for the Civitas Institute.) The problem is not access but completion. So why do people drop out of college? For the most part, money is not the biggest problem; it’s usually factors like family issues, or transportation. Providing free tuition to institutions that graduate only a small amount over 50 percent of their students does not make economic sense. Also, if college tuition does become free for students, colleges will attract more young people who are not suited for college and will most likely drop out as well as more students that will major in fields with little or no market…

A college education has become a necessity in todays society. Many students have the ambition to make a better person out of themselves if college was free. Society expects others to have college education knowledge to become an educated person. I personally don't believe that college should be free. Making it free would only serve to limit the value of the education while filling colleges with students that have no business/need there. College would become nothing more than a 4 year extension of high school if it were free. As things are now, society needs about 25% of the population to have a college degree for the jobs that require one and about 30% of the population has a degree. As a result, you hear from a lot of people that believe that they wasted time getting the degree because it's not serving them as an employment enhancer.…

    Free College In America

For people to understand the intrigue of free college the first step is to look at student debt. The mass amounts of student debt started the conversation of free tuition in four-year colleges and universities. The reality is that student debt has overwhelmed many Americans and will sink the economy again. The 2000s dot COM crash and the housing market crash is evidence of what is to come. Companies like Navient formerly know as Sallie Mae, have increased the intrinsic value of stocks. Which increases the price at which they are sold and traded. Once the market is flooded, the peak point of these stock prices will be followed by an immediate deflation and a crash in the market. The bubble will pop and America’s stock market will have to reset itself. Many economists can recognize this recurring pattern. The issue is the government’s bleeding heart. The White House…

College education being free, has been a topic that many debates, or come across often. Several countries do provide free college education, but this system won’t work in the United States especially in the highly populated regions. Therefore, making Community Colleges free, our taxes will rise, we will have overcrowded classrooms, and underpaid professors, all leading to poor quality of education. As stated by Mary Clare Amselem in her article ‘Free Community College is a bad deal for taxpayers and students’ , community colleges generally have a poor academic rate. Consequently, the education level for job employment will also increase.…

When someone says free, nobody assumes money. People consider America, or the right to speak freely without worry, not free college. To brand something that costs so much now as free would be quite a large task. “That’s why I am sending this Congress a bold new plan to lower the cost of community college – to zero”, former President Barrack Obama stated in his speech on free tuition. He states that college can cost nothing to anyone, but free will never be free. Credit is not given, only earned. Increasing the already insatiable amount of taxes that American citizens pay for is just the beginning. Lowering the quality of education received when there are thousands of new students going to institutions just for the reason that it is free. Higher education will be suffering in numerous ways, including: increased quantity of students, reduced salary once a degree is attained, not to mention a higher percentage of scholars dropping out. The first two years of college should not be “free.”…
