Resident has been receiving mental health treatment since he was 19. He was an inpatient unit for a couple years before coming to the states. Then he was with his parents and received outpatient treatment. After the loss of parents, both of his siblings refused to take care of him thus he was homeless for a while before coming to the SRO unit in Riverhead. Currently he resides in the Riverhead independence living facility. He shows a strong will for working and saving money.
Resident does not show contact with the virtual environment. He used a 2G cell phone and has minimal use of the internet. Resident participates school session regularly, but he does not initiate engagement with other residents. He talks to the group leaders, but he does
not initiate conversation with other residents at all. Resident claims that he attend variety group sports activities such as basketball and soccer near independence living facilities. Even during winter season, he goes to the gym and play basketball with groups of people. He does not keep in touch with them regular basis or play with the same members, but during the game, he engages with other players on the team.
