What is hydronephrosis? How does it affect the process of glomerular filtration?
Glomerular Filtration
Filters blood and proteins from the excess water in the body. Allows for soluble molecules to filter.
Tubular Reabsorption
The water that gets filtered out of the body is only a fraction of the water in the body. With Glomerular Filtration, the body needs a system to reabsorb the water that has been filtered, but hasn't left the body yet. Diffusion, osmosis, and active transport are used to reinstate the water back into the body.
Tubular Secretion
Process right before urine leaves the body. Some things are moved from the blood into the nephrons
