Career Interview
Students should interview a person of their choice who has earned a college degree and is in a position in which they hope to obtain after graduating from college. If you are having a difficult time finding someone to interview please contact me as soon as possible via email (with your intended career and I will do my best to send you some contacts. Parents, siblings, spouses, grandparents, and other students are not acceptable interviewees. Interviews cannot be completed via email. If your interview must be conducted over the phone, you must have approval from your instructor prior to completing the interview.
The following questions are good starting points for your career interview. You may ask other questions if you like. Please refrain from asking questions that are too personal; you should be asking questions to gain information about your career.
Please try to get enough information for your written assignment. You will have to write about your impressions of the career as it relates to your future educational and career goals. This assignment is to help you in the career decision making process so ask questions that help you get the information that you want about your potential career.
