Jesus paper
Jesus was the Son of God and also, the Son of Man. He was the people’s savior, who provided the necessities required for reaching everlasting life in the Kingdom of God. Jesus impacted many lives even thousands of years after his death. Jesus was especially known for his ultimate power over all other things. Jesus Christ was able to show his divine power most noticeably by his teachings, miracles, and salvation through death and resurrection.
Jesus Christ’s teachings showed the true power that he harnessed. For example, in the Temptation of Jesus, Jesus was able to not give into the tests of Satan. Rather, he responded with witty statements that ultimately led to the disappearance of the devil and showed the people to only worship God (Mt 4: 1-11). Also, in Jesus’s account of Personal Relationships, he preached that an eye for an eye is not the right way. People must not retaliate. They must walk away from the situation and not show hate towards the enemy (Mt 5: 38-42). This portrayed Jesus as a powerful person with self-control. Again in Personal Relationships, Jesus told the people how they shouldn’t love their neighbor and hate their enemy. Instead, they should love their enemy and pray for the ones who persecute them. By doing this, people were accomplishing what God wanted. Jesus had great power to be able to teach the people to love everyone, for that was a truly hard task to do (Mt 5: 43-48). Jesus revealed his power through many teachings, and, he also showed his power through his miracles.

Jesus’s miracles showed that he was truly the son of God and held all his mighty power. In Jesus’s miracle, Healing of a Boy with a Demon, he expelled a demon that was making a boy scream and convulse. The boy was an only child who his dad loved dearly. The father was astonished by the majesty of God as his son was given back to him (Mt 17: 14-20). This miracle showed that Jesus had power over the evil in the world and was superior to other mystical forces.

Jesus was so many things over the course of his life. Instead examine the importance of the question “Who is Jesus” and why his true identity so important? Why does it matter if Jesus is the one true son? The most significant reason being that if Jesus is not God’s only begotten son, His death would have not been sufficient to pay the penalty for the transgressions of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Only God could offer payment for such an unbounded penalty.…

In the book, “More than a Carpenter,” Josh McDowell shows how Jesus Christ was more than just a teacher of good principles or a significant person in history. He was God in the flesh who entered the world and exclusively proved His deity. This book shows how Jesus is different from religious historical figures, guides the reader through proofs of Christianity, and logically shows that Jesus Christ was Lord. He shows that Jesus would not have died for a lie and that if Jesus did not rise from the grave, then he would not be the Messiah. Christ has changed many lives because he lived a perfect life, died on the cross for everyone’s sins, and rose from the grave.…

One of the characteristics that most show of him is that his caring. There are many quotes of him being caring to his children, but this is one of the best examples I found. “What are you doing with those scissors ... Give me those scissors," Atticus said. "They're no things to play with." In these quotes Atticus is worried that Jem might get hurt with scissors, so he takes it from them so Jem doesn't get injured. In the bible there's a ton of example of Jesus being caring to us, his children. This bible verse is from the story “Jesus calms the storm”. “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” (NIV Mark 4:39) Jesus shows that He is caring for his…

“[Miracles] would not…answer any useful purpose.” said Thomas Paine, author of “Common Sense.” In Paine’s mind, miracles were out of the question because Christ would be degrading Himself and nature would have to change its natural order to accommodate Jesus. Perhaps, Paine could be considered a bit of a snob. Jesus walked the earth long before Paine’s time and had to use example from that time period to help people understand much like how Paine had to examples from the war in his paper to stir people to action. Christ used miracles in the culture He was in to help people trust him.…

The modern world is truly shaped by this man. One may wonder who, if anyone, can match this man in any manner. While no mortal is even on the same level as Jesus, similarities can still be drawn.…

Jesus demonstrates the restraint of power in Philippians 2:1-11 by simply putting others above himself. When you think of characters’ in the bible, there are quite a few who show him negative behavior and express criticism toward him. By Jesus not reprimanding people in an authoritative way shows his restraint of power. A man as powerful as he, could easily have shown people his strength through fitful behavior. Instead he used his words and his kind…

Holiness is very important to pursue as a follower of Jesus Christ. After reading the book by Jerry Bridges; "The Pursuit Of Holiness", I was able to connect my own understanding of being holy, with the idea that the author has about holiness, and compare it all with what the scripture says about pursuing a holy life. There are many great main ideas and lessons that Jerry writes about, and his book has allowed me to grow spiritually in new ways that I have never been introduced to.…
