Kids Should Not Have To Do Chores
Parents should not be giving their kids money for doing chores around the house whether they are behaving well or not. Kids should not have to be told to do chores around the house. It should be something they just do. If kids would like to be financially responsible they can get a job during the school year or quit sports. As soon as they grow, up they can start buying their own items and then learn how to manage their money and stay financially stable. Kids can find out how to become financially responsible later in life. Not everything is handed to you in life, sometimes kids need to learn on their own, and they need to learn how to do chores without pay. Unloading and loading the dishwasher, mowing grass, washing and drying dishes, doing laundry, and cleaning your room, are all things kids are known to do without pay. It is fine to put money towards an item they want if they work for it. Kids should have to earn their money in life. Life is not easy, and nothing gets handed to you. In high school there is this class called financial math that is supposed to help kids learn how to deal with their money and stay financially stable. As kids grow up, yes, they should deal with their own money but before high school kids should not have to worry about being financially responsible.
