Multiple Different Ways To Write My Essay
I have learned that there are multiple different ways to write an essay and there is always room for improvement. I have discovered that I don’t have a specific style and like writing about topics that fascinate me. My writing abilities have improved immensely due to the amount of writing given in my DE English class. For example, My writing was very unclear and the thesis was hard to understand on my first assessment essay. However, I have learned that to make my thesis more clear, I should include the main topic and go in depth about my exactly main idea.
My strengths include organization, idea development and support in each essay, presentation, and support of my papers. I plan to continue improving on my essay writing and having to better understand the audience and readers. I seek support on forming a proper thesis in my writing. My writing goals were to improve on my grammar and formatting of my writing and I met those goals because after looking over my writing, my formatting has improved.
For my future assignments, I would like to really deep revise my writing multiple times before turning it in. One paper that we wrote was for the Martin Luther King Essay Contest, I had trouble really explaining all the information and developing my ideas throughout the paper. For example, I

Another revision strategy that I often use when writing is to write the paper in the opposing point of view. This way helps when trying to come up with ideas to persuade the reader and even helps with your own main points about the topic. That way, I could read my paper and understand what I was writing about so I could make the introduction both informative with a consistent main idea throughout the

Out of all the steps in my writing process, I believe prewriting was the most helpful. In prewriting you’re supposed to let your thoughts flow without stopping and making changes. So because I didn’t take the time to stress on proper grammar and more, I was able to start my first draft faster. Prewriting also helped me narrow what I wrote into groups, in this case the importance of rice in my family. Not only did prewriting help me narrow my writing into groups, but it also helped me, who was struggling, to find topics to talk about.…

My writing process is usually all over the place, I have to be in my room with my door shut, my music on, my fan on, and my television on, weird, I know, but that is what I have to do in order to keep myself concentrated. After I am all situated I begin by writing down different ideas on a couple sheets of paper, listing ways I could support this idea and how it relates to my topic, sometimes when I am stuck I look up sample essays online to help me out of my rut. Once I finally choose an idea I start writing the first things that pop into my head down on another sheet of paper, it usually ends up being a jumbled mess that only I can understand. After all of my ideas are laid out onto the paper I begin placing numbers beside them so I know…

The Writing Journey Revision is the act of revising, it is to correct, edit and redraft. When I begin to revise a paper, first I reread what I wrote then afterwards, I read it aloud, the human mind won’t necessarily point out the mistakes because the brain will correct what you read and implement it to what needs to be there. Depending on the topic or the importance of the paper, I’ll ask around for help, or sometimes I would ask a friend to edit my paper to point out my mistakes and learn from them. Ever since 8th grade I pushed myself to convert to an improved writer through the art of literature.…

This year I finalized my writing process and how I choose to go about writing my works. I focused on a number of Composition and Writing Process pieces in my portfolio. In the past, I was used to writing rough drafts for all my final papers and only occasionally would I write an outline for them as well. As shown mainly through the Cultural Identity process, the slower and more thorough of a process I take with my writing, the better it will be. Similarly, the rough draft I wrote for my persuasive essay showed multiple errors and places that need to be fixed and patched up in order to improve the strength of my message. For a good majority of the papers I wrote this year, I wrote an outline and a rough draft that was revised at least once. I believe that I have become accustom to a writing…

My strategy for writing a paper requires me write a rough draft, take sometime to reread it and then type it making sure everything is spelled correctly. Then making sure all my grammar is correct through out my entire paper also, making sure that I have the correct punctuation everywhere its needed. Then after typing up everything I go through the paper one last time to make sure there isn’t anything I need to add or take out which is usually where I see where I need to change my sentence structure and add certain works or move sentences to different paragraphs.…

My writing process has evolved since the beginning of the year. Looking back at my previous essays and writing assignments over the course of the semester, I can distinctively see a gradual improvement through the different pieces of writing. Even though the differences from my early works at the beginning of the semester might not be drastic, the small improvements are what positively impacted my writing style. From the beginning of class until now, I have discovered new strengths and weaknesses, redefined my writing process, and corrected mistakes from the essays along the way.…

As I began English 111 this summer I thought I was a good writer unfortunately. I was not skilled in writing like I expected. As I progressed in in this course it has become evident to me I lacked the proper structure when formulating an essay. I essentially saw that I was going to need a lot of improvement when devising a good thesis statement and fixing grammatic errors. I also had to refrain from using sentence fragments to improve the flow of my writing. Despite, all the obstacles, I have developed the skills needed to formulate an essay. However, this course has given me the knowledge needed to succeed in writing many well-structured papers.…

We had to write from narrative essays, to persuasive essays, to argumentative to reflective essays. This course expanded my knowledge of how to write different kinds of essays because each type of essay has to be written in a certain way with a certain tone. For instance, in my persuasive in class essay Without a Saddle, I had to persuade the audience that youth learn either through experience or promoting cautiousness through restrictions. I thought I was good at writing persuasive essays before but now I learned how to persuade so that the audience can understand my point of view. And after understanding what Professor Anderson is trying to tell me, I revised my paper into a well developed essay. I have noticed that I developed a better and a not so broad thesis, and I have clear transition sentences. That makes the reader understand what is going on and to keep the reader…

In September when I was assigned my first essay it was a mess. I found myself just typing words that didnt seem to all come together and make sense. Most of my issues, however, were in the first introductory paragraph. I did not know how to develop an introduction that grabbed the readers attention and let the reader understan what exactly I was going to discuss in my essay. I found that the best way to do this was with a strong thesis statement at the end of the paragraph. A useful technique of writing a thesis that I had come to understand was that writing the essay first, and then reflecting on the essay, often leads me to develop a much stronger thesis statement. It is much easier to write a thesis that introduces what you're going to write about after you write the essay. This is a method that I learned after a few essays in september. I slowly watched my essay grades improve dramatically due partly to a stronger thesis.…

Writing essays have always been a challenge for me. I am from Ecuador, my native language is Spanish and, I came to the United States three years ago.
