Before you move the patients it best that you check the patients name plate that is on the wall to see if they would need assistance x1 or x2. If its times one you would be able to do it on your own, but if its assistance times two you have to make sure that you have someone helping you move the patient. With the patient needing assistance times two this means that that patient is not able to do anything on their own. After learning how to care for the patients I felt comfortable doing some things on my own. A patient was in the hallway and needed to go to the restroom, so she stopped me as I was walking by. The nurse informed me that it was ok for me to do it alone because she only needed one person to help assist. When I got her to her room she told me that she wore a brief, but was able to using the bathroom on the toilet. This was all little challenging since the other patients I changed was lying in the bed not able to go to the restroom on their own. I just remembered what Ms. Angie taught me about transferring the patient and applied it to that patient. This patient was able to stand on her own, but just need a little assistance. This made it so much easier to
