My Goal for the Future
My goal for the future
Since I was a child I was always fascinated by heroes and the things they did to save and help people .From Spiderman to batman to superman I had seen it all and I wanted to be like them, powerful and respected. During my childhood years I had also encountered the most frequent asked question “ what do you want to be when you grow up?” no matter who asked the question the answer was always the same, superhero. Being Superhero was my dream until a couple years later my grandfather got sick and died. From the death of my grandparent I realised that superheroes were not real because they did not save my grandparent from his death. During this time of grief I wondered if I could have done anything to save my grandfather from death. Since that day on I was interested to learn about the human body, how death can occur and how to live longer. Years passed on and I tried different courses but nothing changed my mind. I took many biology and chemistry courses in middle and high school, where I was interested in learning new things and was amazed at how organs function in the human body. I was always fascinated to anatomy and living things. I understand that medical filed is my passion. I want to study for medicine and participate in research to find cure for many diseases. I am confident that after finishing medicine I will be able to help people and laso support my future family. I would like to have my own house , I know that achieving my goals needs a lot of wore gut I am positive that I will

Unfortunately, in today’s society, this timeless and straight forward question has been morphed into another creature. That being, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” We are constantly asked this question from the very minute that we learn to make coherent sentences. As a toddler, one only knows about a dozen occupations, half of which being princess, power ranger, or superhero most of which are not real options. Later, society pushes the “respectable” occupations into our minds such as doctors, lawyers and judges. Society does such a great job at doing this, that some people do not even realize that these occupations are not their Joie de Vivre until they are already working in these fields. For the longest time, I was also a casualty to this façade, wanting to be a doctor most of my life. Though, to find out how I got to where I am, we have to start at the beginning.…

Some kids play sports in high school. Others are in the band, take roles in theater, or members of the debate team. Myself, I did not so any of those things, because, since middle school, my life has been fully devoted to practicing my passion for agriculture and preparing for an eventual career in the industry. I never had time for orchestra rehearsals or scrimmages, I was either out in the barn or in the pens in the field, or at plant ID practice, livestock judging workouts, or chapter meetings instead. These things even took the place of milestones such as prom and homecoming dances for me in middle/high school, but, it was completely fine to me, because, I knew my hard work would soon pay off as soon as…

The way a person believes is usually influenced by various different life factors, which is why no one ever agrees on everything. We all have our own aspect of life. The place where one begins to learn and pick up from is usually home with family. Although there are many things including, friends, books, media, income; and even race, gender, and ethnicity that contribute to why people believe differently. My own beliefs, I think have been influenced by family of course, but also by my own personal knowledge and experience; which is only gained by living.…

To say I’ve always wanted to be a doctor would be a stretch, I wanted to be a Pokemon trainer till I was eight and found out they weren’t real. Then I wanted to be a power ranger, the red one to be specific, until again reality crushed my dreams. None of these provided me with great paths to a future career, but a noticeable trend was showing, I always wanted to be the hero. I wanted to be the character that helped people, brought joy to their lives, and worked with them till they overcame the difficulties and obstacles they were facing. When I was young, I never really knew what I wanted to become when I got older, but I always had very high aspirations for myself. I always thought that I would become either a doctor or a lawyer. Both professions seemed highly respected, and the high income from each was a very important factor. As I grew older, I started to drift away from dreams of becoming a lawyer, and focused toward the medical field. The more I considered this choice of a profession, I began to realize that it was what I wanted to do with my life. However, like most people, my dreams changed over the course of time. My experiences and mistakes changed my perception on life in general, as well as my dreams and goals. I went through periods of time where I wanted to become a pilot,…

    Describe Career Goals

    • 6 Pages

I have not decided on a specific major that I would like to pursue in college, but I do know that I plan on attending medical school after college. As an adult, I would like to be a pediatrician. I have strongly considered majoring in neuroscience, because I find the discipline to be fascinating, but I have also considered other biology/chemistry/physics majors. When I was younger, I wanted to go into law, like my father. However, I realized as I got a little older that what appealed to me about a career in law was not the thrill of a trial or the arguing, but rather the potential to help other people. Given that science-related classes and activities have always been my favorite, I have decided that a career in medicine is more fitting for my interests and life goals.…
